We continue to accept submissions but please not your film will be submitted to the 2020 edition NOT 2019. This is due to Government elections on Madeira.

The entry fee is 30 / 40 / 50 Euros depending upon submissions date and irrespective of genre and running time. Exhibiting filmmakers will be offered 3 nights accommodation including breakfast on Madeira during the festival.

The Madeira Film Festival is non – competitive. Rather than present awards MFF offers delegates the status of ‘AMBASSADOR OF THE LAURISSILVA’ thus helping to preserve and create awareness of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva forest.
The Madeira Film Festival organisation fervently believes there is no better place in the world to stage a film festival than on the piquant Island of Madeira and there is no better place on Madeira to stage a film festival than in glorious Reid’s Palace Hotel and the Municipal Theatre in Funchal.
The crux of the Madeira Film Festival is to pay homage to the resilience of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva Forest by screening a slate of films which are expansive, unsettling and profound,films which will hopefully impinge upon the viewers imagination.
One of the most effective measures that can be implemented in order to raise awareness of the Laurissilva forest and subsequently it’s preservation is through the undisputed persuasive strength of audio- visual communication. The aspiration of the Madeira Film Festival is to become one of Europe’s foremost film festivals, by sheer virtue of location there exists an inherent capacity to attain this.
The Canada International Film Festival has firmly established itself among the top film festivals in Canada. Held each year in the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, British Columbia, the festival brings the very best of world cinema to Canada from over 90 countries around the world.
12. Festival Audiovisual Infantil (FICAIJ), 2021-2022

O Festival Audiovisual Infantil, conhecido por sua sigla FICAIJ, nasceu em Mérida, Venezuela, em 2010, e se consolidou após 12 anos como uma das janelas mais importantes para exibir conteúdo educativo e alternativo de qualidade, bem como conteúdo comercial para crianças, adolescentes, jovens e famílias no país e na região.
Depois de ter assistido a mais de 41.385 participantes em suas 11 edições anteriores que impactaram diretamente em 6 países do mundo. Diante do panorama da pandemia que ainda vivemos através do COVID-19, assumimos o desafio de nos transformar e ativar nossa 12ª edição na web com incidência principal nos países da nossa região. Além disso, planejamos realizar algumas exibições presenciais na Venezuela e na Colômbia.
História:
Mais de 1.506 curtas-metragens de 81 países ao redor do mundo foram transmitidos nas telas da FICAIJ, e mais de 392 pessoas, incluindo crianças, adolescentes, jovens e adultos, avaliaram e avaliaram esses filmes.
Nossos jurados vieram não só da Venezuela, mas também de outros 9 países: Argentina, Brasil, Cuba, Equador, Itália, Quênia, México, Espanha e África do Sul, participando da representação de seus locais de origem.

Promovemos audiovisuais de um ponto de vista reflexivo e produtivo, convidando crianças, adolescentes e jovens a assumir um papel ativo como criadores e prosumers.
Missão:
A FICAIJ procura incentivar a criação, produção, exposição e distribuição de conteúdos de qualidade para e por crianças, adolescentes e jovens da região, estimulando o protagonismo das crianças em todos esses processos.
2º. Laboratório FICAIJ:
Com o duplo propósito de fortalecer, por um lado, a produção de conteúdos infantis, jovens e familiares em nível regional e, por outro lado, a formação de professores na educação com e para os meios de comunicação social, uma necessidade mais evidente diante da educação digital imposta pela pandemia, a organização de A FICAIJ assume o desafio de desenvolver a 2ª edição do seu Laboratorio FICAIJ, um espaço de formação voltado para o setor de produção de conteúdos para meninos e meninas latino-americanos e para o setor da educação.

The season of LOVE is upon us.

Or is it a season which weighs upon you. Its trials and tribulations, the heartbreaks, quarrels, cheating, possessiveness, you know what we mean, right?
IS LOVE - The most amazing feeling in the world or just another four letter word?
Whether you're a full-time Aashiq or frustrated Romeo, pick up that camera and show us what love means to you -good or bad, funny or sad, beautiful or ugly, all aspects of it!
This contest is your chance to submit a short film less than 20 minutes on either LOVE or its SIDE EFFECTS, as you perceive them. In this season of love express your feelings through a film and win some amazing prizes.
1 What are we looking for?
Short Films on the theme of
a. Love, romance, affection, etc.
b. The side effects of love including breakups, commitment phobia, possessiveness, manipulation, emotional blackmail and so on. This is the season of love and some light-hearted fun is welcome.

CONDIÇÕES DE PARTICIPAÇÃO:
Qualquer pessoa física ou jurídica, independentemente da nacionalidade, pode participar.
Os curtas-metragens devem ter uma duração máxima de vinte minutos.

O D'A - Festival de Cinema de Barcelona é um festival de cinema competitivo que oferece uma extensa revisão do cinema mundial atual, exibindo um panorama internacional do melhor cinema de autor contemporâneo, combinando a descoberta de novos talentos e cinematografias emergentes com diretores estabelecidos internacionalmente e filmes.
O 13º Festival de Cinema de Barcelona acontecerá de 23 de março a 2 de abril de 2023.
O festival exibe longas-metragens e curtas-metragens narrativos e documentários, videoclipes, bem como filmes experimentais e de animação, em seções competitivas e não competitivas. Este evento é complementado com repertório e exibições especiais. O 22º Festival Internacional de Cinema Cine Las Americas (CLAIFF22) aconteceu de 1º a 5 de maio de 2019 em Austin, Texas. Além de receber mais de 3.000 espectadores para filmes e eventos especiais, o CLAIFF22 exibiu 114 títulos; essas seleções representaram a participação de 25 países na produção ou coprodução dos projetos, incluindo Argentina, Austrália, Bolívia, Brasil, Canadá, Chile, Colômbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, República Dominicana, Equador, França, Alemanha, Jordânia, México, Holanda, Perú, Portugal, Catar, Espanha, República Árabe Síria, Reino Unido, Uruguai, EUA e Venezuela.
Nos últimos 22 anos, o Cine Las Americas apresentou mais de 2.600 filmes em Austin e em várias exibições em todo o estado do Texas, tornando-se uma das organizações cinematográficas latinas mais prestigiadas do país. O Cine Las Americas continua sendo uma organização voltada para a comunidade, oferecendo diversas oportunidades de cultura, educação, desenvolvimento profissional e entretenimento. Todos os anos, o festival de cinema traz uma grande variedade de filmes e cineastas internacionais para Austin, cria oportunidades de networking para profissionais do setor e oferece uma rica experiência cultural para os participantes.
O objetivo principal do Festival é abrir diálogos sobre questões de contingência através do cinema como plataforma de mediação e engajamento, na Província de Colchagua, assumindo também o papel de expositor do cinema nacional e latino-americano e obras independentes de diferentes partes do mundo.

Similarly to above you must provide evidence in your application that you have previously had a short shown at Kinofilm Festival to receive a code to submit to this section.
Women in Film
Women play an important role in filmmaking and there are many talents out there and to celebrate Women in Film we have two categories. One programme is a focus solely on Women directors, the second programme category will focus the work of women practitioners in the roles of writers, actresses, producers and Directors of Cinematography but please note the film lead roles must be female led. If you have a film that has a strong female led role or strong female writer etc and you want to be considered for this sectin of the festival please submit to the Women Practitioners category. Film Directors should submit to the Women in Film (directors category).
General Information.
Established in 1995 the festival is now in it's 16th International Shorts edition. Kinofilm has a unique reputation for showcasing the best short films from around the world, whilst being renowned for seeking out diverse, challenging and groundbreaking new films. We welcome filmmakers that are pushing the boundaries of the short film art form. The festival maintains a high standard with many European & International award-winning shorts featured in the Festival. It includes special programmes in North West Shorts (UK), British New Wave, Euro Cine, International Panorama, Kino Exposed (student and youth shorts), low/no budget shorts, Animation and various themed programmes, giving new and emerging filmmakers the opportunity to have their work screened alongside that of critically acclaimed, established short filmmakers.
Please note for 2019, the festival will move dates to February 2020. We will further welcome short films and animations from Eastern Europe as we extend the Polish festival to include more Baltic countries. This year we welcome films for this section from Romania and Russia.
As part of out 16th anniversary we are introducing a features section called Transitions for those short filmmakers that have successfully made the transition from short film to feature. This section is for previous entrants of Kinofilm Festival and can only be entered if you have previously had a short film at Kinofilm Festival. You must provide the name of the short film and year of the festival it was screened in advance of submitting..
All short films should have been completed since January 2018 to present and be no longer than 20 mins (accept documentaries which can be up to 23 mins including credits). PLEASE NOTE FILMS SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ANY FILMS THAT ARE SEEN TO BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WILL FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
WE ARE OFFERING STUDENTS (world wide) , GREATER MANCHESTER FILMMAKERS, Youths and community groups, Eastern European Filmmakers and Alumni Filmmakers 20% OF ALL SUBMISSION FEES (please see offers at the top of this entry). The discount is automatically applied when you submit your film to the relevant sections, entry fees start at just $10.00 Please note PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY MUST BE SHOWN in all these categories in advance of submitting the film, you will then receive a code to submit your film.
IRANIAN Filmmakers can submit for free (see above details).
Please note, if your film is selected for screening in one of the cinema screenings you must be able to provide either a DCP or high-quality Bluray of your film. Please contact us if any issues with this and we will try to resolve it by showing the film in one of the other programmes not requiring either of these formats. If it playing in one of our other venues then we will require a digital version, details supplied if your film is accepted.
REFUNDS GIVEN ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: Please note if you make a genuine mistake and submit your film to us not realising that it does not fit all of the criteria, or you have to withdraw it for other reasons, we will refund your fee if the request is made only within the first two weeks from the date of submission. Films withdrawn later for other reasons such as you wish to withdraw it as your film has been accepted in another festival that requires premier status, will not receive a refund. (Please note that any refunds will be after FFW (8%) and PP (3.5%) commission fees already deducted from your fee, you will only be refunded the net amount that the festival receives).

2. To nurture new talent and support the work of culturally diverse, emerging filmmakers.
3. To attract an industry base of filmmakers and media industry professionals, to encourage the exchange of ideas and development of partnerships.
4. To attract cinema goers and diverse audiences that would not normally experience the short film art form or film festivals.
5. To focus on the needs of the regions filmmakers, visiting filmmakers and the region’s audiences.
The Cardiff Independent Film Festival will be held over the 5th to 7th May 2017 in Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. This will be our third festival, following highly successful events beginning in 2014. We're a fun, friendly and open festival run by film-lovers that celebrates the best in independent cinema and adheres to the highest ethical standards.
We're non-profit, which means ALL of the submission fees go into the running of the festival. And we are truly independent - we don't take public or corporate money so the films we pick are our favourites.
We also attract big-name guests: CIFF2015 saw talks by Stephen Frears and Paul Andrew Williams and the great John Boorman present the Welsh premiere of his final feature Queen and Country. We may be small but we punch above our weight.
We will be screening five feature films, ten short films and five short animations in competition and there will be out-of-competition screenings for other films of significant merit.

O Miniboxoffice International Film Festival agora é o Festival Internacional de Cinema de Noida. Depois de três edições bem-sucedidas do Miniboxoffice International Film Festival, que atende principalmente a curtas-metragens, agora se tornou maior com a adição da seção de longas-metragens. No ano de 2014, a administração do Miniboxoffice o renomeou com o nome da cidade de desenvolvimento mais rápido da Índia, 'NOIDA'. É uma homenagem à cidade onde o Miniboxoffice começa no ano de 2010 e a cidade em si é a casa da maior cidade cinematográfica do norte da Índia.
O objetivo do 13º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Noida-26 é apresentar grandes cineastas de todo o mundo em grande estilo e, ao mesmo tempo, fornecer networking profissional e apresentar as tendências atuais do cinema aos participantes. O objetivo do festival é capacitar cineastas independentes e se comprometer a se tornar um evento cinematográfico premium que promova o crescimento de cineastas independentes.
A edição de 2014 a 25 do NIFF foi um grande sucesso com a participação de cineastas de mais de 90 países. Espera-se que o NIFF-26 alcance muitos marcos no desenvolvimento do cinema independente. Com isso, convido todos os cineastas a se juntarem ao movimento que traz o mais alto nível de pensamento e cultura de diferentes nações na forma de um cinema enriquecedor e divertido.
O Festival Europeu de Cinema Fantástico de Murcia SOMBRA é um projeto que visa divulgar e servir como referência aos filmes de fantasia produzidos na Europa, bem como apoiar a produção europeia, nacional e regional de gênero.

Lançado em 1980, nosso festival, o primeiro de sua categoria na Coreia do Sul, cresceu e evoluiu do Festival Coreano de Curtas-Metragens para se tornar o Festival Asiático de Curtas-Metragens de Busan em 2000 e, eventualmente, o Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Busan em 2010 (www.bisff.org).
Realizado no final de abril no Busan Cinema Center, o BISFF entrega uma dúzia de prêmios em três seções competitivas (Competição Internacional, Competição Coreana e Operação Kino), além de apresentar várias seções curadas e não competitivas, incluindo: País convidado, curtas coreanos, curtas asiáticos, prisma, cinema 3D, etc.
BISFF é membro da Short Film Conference (http://shortfilmconference.com/) e da NETPAC (Rede para a Promoção do Cinema da Ásia-Pacífico https://netpacasia.org). Em 2018, tornou-se o primeiro festival de qualificação para o Oscar® da Coreia do Sul.
BioBioCine, Festival Internacional de Cinema de Concepción, é uma reunião intercultural de conhecimento e sabedoria expressos através do cinema, que visa ser um espaço de diálogo e contemplação, bem como disseminar, promover, apoiar e valorizar a cinematografia nacional e internacional de um território e Identidade que é estabelecida como contexto para sua reunião anual.
O Festival Internacional BioBioCine convoca obras de todos os países e culturas para sua décima primeira versão. Seu programa inclui categorias competitivas e não competitivas de longas-metragens e curtas-metragens de ficção e não ficção, com foco no cinema de autor, novos cineastas, experimentação, diálogo intercultural e primeiras nações.
