Women in Focus emerged in 2009 with the aim of encouraging the promotion and protection of women's rights through film, through the dissemination of films that allow give visibility to the violation of their rights and encourage debate. In this way he sought to create an open standard for men and women around the world space where open dialogue between genres and promote the active participation of the whole society to defend the full exercise of human rights, with a focus on the situation women in the world. They worked on a broad call, unlimited sex, age or origin, and with the conviction that change is possible only from the inclusion of attention.
The axis of Women in Focus is on the woman and her history of violations, to disseminate and denounce the naturalization of the unjust conditions they are facing, and give visibility to the diversity of social, cultural experiences and forms of organization, aiming thinking about other possible worlds. Through films about women also understand and discuss the construction of gender and how it is all of society we seek.

The 5th edition ICFF 2016 promises to be a great celebration of the art of Italian cinema. ICFF is a Festival that takes place during Canada and Ontario’s “Italian Heritage month.” As the only Italian Film Festival in Canada, ICFF is an influential showcase for contemporary cinema of Italian origin from all over the world and brings together filmmakers and audiences to celebrate Italian heritage cinema as well as explore its new frontiers. All films are in Italian or other foreign languages subtitled in English. ICFF takes place over 9 days of cinematic experiences centred on Italian life, culture and history.
The festival will present an international collection of feature films, documentaries and shorts, including premieres, advance screenings and independent films. O Festival considera inscrições de todos os gêneros, de curtas a longas-metragens, e é realizado em “Festival City, EUA”, no final do Festival de Shakespeare de Utah, no sul de Utah. Dentro de 30 minutos de carro está o Parque Nacional Kolob Canyon of Zion, o Monumento Nacional Cedar Breaks, a Estação de Esqui Brian Head, o deserto seco, pastores de ovelhas, fazendas, montanhas vermelhas, montanhas verdes e avistamentos de OVNIs. A localização é ideal para o cineasta em busca de férias. É um retiro artístico para cinema, culinária, festas e workshops com profissionais acessíveis. Este festival emergente é realizado todo outono em Cedar City.

O Festival Internacional de Cinema Red Rock. O Red Rock Film Festival foi formado em 2007 no sul de Utah e rapidamente se tornou um festival reconhecido internacionalmente com jurados premiados e rigoroso processo de pré-seleção. Ele entrou na lista da revista MovieMaker dos “Melhores Festivais que Valem a Taxa de Inscrição” em 2009 e 2013.
SELEÇÃO DEMOCRÁTICA DE FILMES
Todos os filmes são avaliados por membros do nosso comitê de pré-visualização e pontuados em Direção, Roteiro, Atuação/Talento, Valores de Produção e Valores de Pós-Produção. Local ou internacional, amigo ou estranho, bonito ou simples, famoso ou não: todos os filmes recebem tratamento igual e passam pela mesma seleção democrática de filmes.

O grupo demográfico é bem educado, consistindo principalmente de pessoas com ninhos vazios, estudantes universitários e idosos. O festival também visa encontrar novos filmes para os sábios, bem como filmes de qualidade para jovens, filmes esportivos e filmes com uma mensagem.

Todos os gêneros são considerados. Embora os documentários tenham sido o foco predominante no Red Rock Film Festival, o público do festival costuma elogiar a variedade e diversidade de filmes selecionados para o festival em Utah. Animação, artes, crianças, comédia, documentário, drama, experimental, ficção, narrativa, romance, esportes, estudantes, terror, suspense, mistério, musicais, vídeos musicais, temas de guerra, questões femininas, familiares e filmes humanitários são todos levados em consideração. A diversidade cultural também é um destaque no festival; africanos, americanos, asiáticos, europeus, indianos, indígenas, insulares, latinos, budistas, cristãos, hindus, muçulmanos, espirituais, iogues e outras culturas filosóficas, governamentais, históricas e artísticas devem ser exploradas.
COMPETIÇÃO:
Todos os gêneros são considerados, incluindo animação, documentário, experimental, ficção, videoclipe e filmes feitos por estudantes. O festival tem várias categorias de competição, incluindo subcategorias exclusivas de longa-metragem e curta-metragem.
Os diretores do programa também podem selecionar categorias adicionais a seu próprio critério, dependendo de quantas inscrições qualificadas forem recebidas.
TODO FILME MERECE UM LAR
Tudo gira em torno do quanto gostamos de um filme e de onde o colocamos. Só queremos um filme bom e original que mostre nossa missão. Esperamos que alguns filmes sejam ótimos para serem lançados nos cinemas, outros para a televisão, alguns para a sala de aula, para nossa série de filmes ou uma ótima estreia. Para incentivar o espírito independente, a Red Rock se esforça para encontrar um lar para todos os filmes que se qualificam para a competição. Isso dá ao cineasta a chance de expor seu trabalho, mesmo que não chegue às finais do festival. O festival também abriga um mercado de mini-filmes, exibições especiais ao longo do ano, além de fazermos recomendações para outros festivais.

O Utah Film Market é uma pequena seção do festival em que cineastas e outros profissionais do setor podem ver filmes sozinhos na biblioteca do festival ou em exibições especiais da indústria oferecidas a finalistas selecionados e outros favoritos do festival.

Festival Internacional de Cinema de Montanha Ushuaia SHH... é um evento cultural e educativo nascido em Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Nosso objetivo é contribuir para uma cultura de cuidado para a natureza e o desenvolvimento sustentável da sociedade humana, especialmente em ambientes montanhosos. Anualmente e sem fins comerciais, estabelecemos um programa complexo de exibições, atividades culturais e educacionais, como exposições, palestras, música ao vivo, artes visuais e cênicas, degustação de alimentos e esportes de montanha para destacar, construir e consolidar o gênero de cinema de montanha na região. FICMUS é o representante regional Latinamérica da International Alliance for Mountain Film (IAMF) em rede com outros festivais de cinema de montanha e eventos das regiões para promover a cultura montanhosa.
O AVANCA Film Festival foi premiado com o primeiro lugar no concurso de 2011 dos festivais de cinema de apoio patrocinados pelo ICA/Ministério da Cultura.

The short films taking part in the competition must necessarily tackle a social topic, since the Festival aims at raising awareness on contemporary issues such as social exclusion, migration, gender violence, unemployment, fundamental rights, etc. Any short film which shows these or other social issues will be accepted in the Festival, notwithstanding the main topic of the short films may not have a particularly social nature.

“SHORT TAKES” Season 4 is a short film contest organised by Pocket Films in association with Indian Film Festival, Stuttgart, Germany.

The DC Shorts Film Festival showcases one of the largest collection of short films in the USA. In 2015, we screened 125 films from 26 countries in 17 unique showcases over 11 days to audiences of more than 9,000 people.
The festival has been named as the “Coolest Short Film Festival” by MovieMaker Magazine, and is a three-time winner of the Washington City Paper’s “Coolest Short Film Festival” contest/award. The 11-day event (September 8-18, 2016) includes film screenings, Q&As, filmmaker workshops and parties in locations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and online through the secure DC Shorts Online Film Festival.
