FICAMS, Antarctica’s International Film Festival about Environment and Sustainability is a competitive festival that gives and teaches community members, through films, diverse views related to our habitat and culture. General themes of the audio-visual pieces are base on the environment, nature, sustainability, climate change, recycling, and renewable energy sources.
Audio-visual production are exhibited and discussion panels are held during the festival, hence promoting debate around socio - environmental realities from different places of the world, allowing us to learn about problems but also strategic solutions in tight relation to our local reality.
FICAMS as an eye opener experience enriches us with a southern hemisphere perspective, redefining the means by which we should contemplate our planet, reminding us that a sphere has multiple viewpoints, where geographical cardinality loses all meaning. Alliances with other curators/proponents/cultivators are seek in order to present audio-visual pieces related to environmental education and biodiversity in an associatively manner.

Ars Independent Festival 2019 will be the 9th multimedia festival of film, animation, video games and music videos. The upcoming edition will take place in Katowice, between the 24th and 29th of September 2019.
The festival is searching for what’s cool in young, debuting, contemporary audio-visual culture. It’s not afraid to watch videos with 27 views on YouTube, it’s missing the “least popular” sorting option on itch.io and considers Festival Scope Pro decidedly “too mainstream”.
The heart of the festival are four international competitions, in which the audience decides about the awarding of prizes. The Black Horse of Film (feature films from all over the world) and the Black Horse of Animation (short features) present the cinematographic debuts by directors from the entire world, often as their Polish premieres. The Black Horse of Video Games and the Black Horse of Music Video are devoted to new games and music videos.
Additionally, every year festivalgoers are treated to: screenings of films, animations and music videos, video game exhibitions, virtual reality and new technologies, discussion panels and Q&As with artists, concerts, live acts and musical afterparties.
In previous years, the festival hosted a variety of artists from all over the world, including Béla Tarr, Nina Menkes, Phil Mulloy, Laila Pakalnina, Bruce LaBruce, Tami Tamaki, Stephen „M.O.O.N.” Gilarde, Jakuba Dvorský, Mariola Brillowska, Piotr Dumała, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Bodo Kox, Łukasz Barczyk, Sos Sosowski, Wiktor Stribog and Władysław Komendarek.
The event is organized by the culture institution Katowice the City of Gardens and the City of Katowice.

FARCUME 2026: Das 16. Internationale Kurzfilmfestival von Faro
Nach fünf Jahren beispiellosen Wachstums ist FARO 1540 (Verband zur Verteidigung und Förderung des Umwelt- und Kulturerbes von Faro) stolz darauf, die 16. Ausgabe von FARCUME bekannt zu geben. Das Festival kehrt vom 16. bis 18. Oktober 2026 in das Herz von Faro, Portugal, zurück und festigt damit seinen Ruf als wahrhaft internationales und kosmopolitisches Kulturdenkmal.

Der Kulturverein Time & Memory organisiert die vierzehnte Ausgabe des Kurzfilmfestivals „SHORT TO SOUTH“, das vom 20. bis 21. Juni 2026 in Polla (SA), ITALIEN, im Auditorium „Holy Nicolicchio“ stattfindet.
Cordoba International Film Festival, is an educational film platform, cultural, artistic, industrial, and a prime symbol of the city and the country.
In the 9th version of the festival, again converge producers, directors, distributors, film critics, actors and audience around the latest and outstanding national and international productions, handing Cordoba and the country a single framework for meeting quality and today.
Every film selected have a official selection in CORDOBA FILM FESTIVAL in the year event.
The excellent results obtained in the last years -great influx of public, international visits, quality and novelty of the films shown, press coverage, diversity of high convocatoria- related activities confirmed that Cordoba International Film Festival has become a benchmark of national cinematography and international: a window of culture for which Colombia looks and opens to the world.
In this context, one of the objectives is to continue complementing and enhancing the explosive audiovisual industry in Colombia, through a space for development and promotion as attractive as Cordoba International Film Festival Industry, whose excellent results last year, we intend to continue developing in this edition. Also, Cordoba International Film Festival is a showcase to appreciate firsts and pre-premieres of international films of recent invoice and quality, both directors of prestige as young talent.
2007 gründete Joaquín Ortega (Regisseur, Schauspieler, Stuntman und Stuntkoordinator) unter seiner Marke NOIDENTITY sein internationales Stuntmen-Team. 2010 gründete er die unabhängige Produktionsfirma NOIDENTITY Films und hat bereits zwei Filme privat und ein Programm TV produziert. 2013 setzt er seine Absicht fort, die Filmindustrie zu fördern, und veranstaltet das erste Actionfilmfestival in Spanien.
So entstand NIAFFS (NOIDENTITY - International Action Film Festival - Spanien) mit der Absicht, die Filmindustrie zu fördern und internationale Actionfilme zu fördern.
Festival, das 2009 vom Regionalrat Charkiw gegründet wurde.
Die Festivalmission besteht darin, Kinder-/Jugendstudios und -clubs zu finden und zu unterstützen, die sich mit Kino- und Fernsehkreativität beschäftigen, talentierte Kinder; Entwicklung des Kinder-/Jugendkinos und Fernsehens in der Ukraine.
Die Festivalziele sind:
— Aufbau und Entwicklung von Kontakten zwischen Kinder-/Jugendstudios, Erfahrungsaustausch und weitere berufliche Weiterentwicklung der Teilnehmer;
— Kommunikation interessanter, herausragender Arbeiten und Projekte aus verschiedenen Ländern an die breite Öffentlichkeit, Präsentation der besten globalen Praktiken in der Entwicklung der Kinder-/Jugendkino- und Fernsehindustrie;
— die Einrichtung von Kreativ- und Kommunikationsplattformen, um Erfahrungen auszutauschen und neue Projekte während des Festivals und zwischen den Festivalzeiten zu präsentieren;
— kreative persönliche Entwicklung, Erziehung moralischer Werte und sozialer Aktivismus;
— die Aufmerksamkeit von Regierungs-, Nichtregierungsorganisationen und Handelsunternehmen auf die Fragen der Entwicklung der Kreativität von Kindern und Jugendkindern, auf die Prozesse der Persönlichkeitsbildung durch den Empfang von Informationen, die von elektronischen Massenmedien ausgestrahlt werden, auf die Bedürfnisse von Kinder-/Jugend-Kreativclubs aufmerksam zu machen, die Entwicklung talentierter Kinder und ihre Zukunft.
Das Festival findet unter Kinder-/Jugendfernsehen, Animations-, Kino- und Radiostudios, Clubs, Gruppen und Einzelautoren, Fernseh- und Radiosendern sowie kreativen Produktionseinheiten, Regisseuren und Produzentenzentren statt, die Programme und Filme für Kinder und Jugendliche produzieren.
Die 16. Ausgabe des Studentenfilmfestivals FENACIES Uruguay hat am 1. April ihre Anmeldungen eröffnet und bleibt bis zum 30. Mai geöffnet. Wie jedes Jahr können alle Studenten aus der ganzen Welt (von der Grundschule bis zur Universität) ihre Kurzfilme, die vom 7. bis 13. September in Montevideo gezeigt werden, völlig kostenlos anmelden.
FENACIES ist ein internationales Studentenfilmfestival mit 16 Jahren ununterbrochener Geschichte in Uruguay, das sich der Ausbildung, Ausstellung und Förderung junger Filmemacher widmet.
Das Hauptziel des Festivals ist es, die audiovisuelle Bildung der Jüngsten zu stärken. Durch die Produktion von Kurzfilmen können sie ihre Ideen zum Ausdruck bringen, sodass sie später auf der großen Leinwand zu sehen sind. Es geht immer darum, nach den Kriterien Kreativität und Ideen zu differenzieren und einen fairen und loyalen Wettbewerb zu suchen, der den teilnehmenden Altersgruppen gerecht wird.
Während der Festivalwoche werden die ausgewählten Kurzfilme gezeigt. Am Sonntag, den 13. September, werden die Gewinner bei der Abschlussfeier bekannt gegeben.
Das 15. Internationale Filmfestival FICCI-ON - Ciudad Rodrigo zielt darauf ab, pädagogische, soziale und spirituelle Filme zu fördern, die auf der ganzen Welt gedreht wurden.
Das Thema des Festivals wird daher pädagogisch, sozial und werteorientiert sein und all jene Filme einschließen, die die Entwicklung von Kindern in all ihren Aspekten fördern.
Werteorientierte Filme, die sich mit dem Thema Menschenrechte sowie dem interkulturellen Dialog befassen. Es wird auch Platz für Filme geben, die sich mit ethnografischen Themen, sozialer Denunziation oder Engagement für die Entwicklung einer Kultur des Friedens befassen. Was spirituelle Themen anbelangt, so ist dies ein sehr breiter Bereich, in den religiöse und/oder spirituelle Filme aufgenommen werden, unabhängig von der Konfession und dem Glauben des Films und seiner Autoren.
Das 36. Internationale Festival Message to Man für Dokumentar-, Kurzspiel-, Animations- und Experimentalfilme findet vom 16. bis 24. Oktober 2026 in St. Petersburg, Russland, statt.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat das Festival herausragende Persönlichkeiten des Weltkinos empfangen, darunter Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier und viele andere.
Message to Man blickt auf drei Jahrzehnte der Kinoentwicklung zurück und wurde 1989 in Leningrad vom Filmemacher Mikhail Litvyakov gegründet, der heute als Ehrenpräsident des Festivals fungiert.
2010 übernahm Alexei Uchitel, ein renommierter Regisseur von Dokumentar- und Spielfilmen, die Rolle des Präsidenten des Festivals.
Das Festivalprogramm umfasst drei Wettbewerbe: internationale, nationale und experimentelle Wettbewerbe. Sie bieten sowohl Langfilmen als auch Kurzfilmen eine Plattform, um um den Grand Prix des Festivals zu konkurrieren. Message to Man zieht jedes Jahr Tausende von Kinoliebhabern nach St. Petersburg.
Das Internationale Kurzfilmfestival Sedicicorto ist ein Filmfestival, das den Kurzfilmen gewidmet ist, die 2004 geboren wurde und seitdem jedes Jahr Anfang Oktober in Italien im Zentrum von Forlì stattfindet.
La kermesse Isola di Roma con la direzione artistica di Giorgio Ginori, presenta la prima edizione del contest “L’isola del Corto”, con lo scopo di valorizzare il cinema breve, come forma di espressione artistica di autori nazionali e internazionali. Quest’anno, in aggiunta al noto concorso per cortometraggi, Mamma Roma, rivolto agli appassionati di cinema il festival apre le sue porte al mondo dei professionisti del settore audiovisivo.
I cortometraggi si presentano come un prodotto altro rispetto allo standard cinematografico ed è spesso campo d’allenamento per artisti che attendono di poter realizzare un lungometraggio ma è anche una forma espressiva autonoma che sta al racconto come il lungometraggio sta al romanzo e trova in questo contesto uno spazio dedicato senza vincoli di tema o genere.
Il cinema breve spesso è esordio ed apprendistato di tanti grandi maestri del cinema ma anche una loro chicca sconosciuta ai più che L’isola di Roma, con questo concorso, valorizza ampliando lo spazio dedicato alla loro proiezione inserendoli nel palinsesto del festival e nel contesto culturale promosso nel cuore della città di Roma.
Con “l’isola del Corto” il festival 2018 si prefigge di promuovere la conoscenza, l’incontro, il confronto e la collaborazione di professionisti e semiprofessionisti del settore cinematografico e audiovisivo.

Aus diesem Grund haben wir zwei Sonderpreise für Kurzfilme vergeben, die sich für die Agenda 2030 der Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung einsetzen, sowie für Filme, deren Handlung sich mit dem Thema Tod und Trauer befasst.
