Every year entries reveal stories about people, volunteers, who contribute to changing people’s lives within their communities and around the world.
In 2017, the theme of the festival is «Human. Action. Choice».
Festival is popular among both amateurs and professional filmmakers, concerned with solving socially significant problems worldwide. NGOs, volunteers, groups of activists and young people, interested in developing of creative potential and making our world a better place submit entries annually to the Jury of the Festival.
In June 2017, the cinematic platform was presented in the framework of the International conference EDUCATION#INFOCUS at the United Nations Office at Geneva (Switzerland). It was highly estimated by international experts, who highlighted the importance of promoting volunteer values through the language of cinematography.
Dulcísimo Ovario is a Festival of Female Video and Cinema that showcases and recognizes the work of Mexican women filmmakers and video artists.
We believe in the need to approach new narratives that display a diversity of realities, thoughts, and ways of relating.
Our goal is to organize cycles of presentations, conferences, and screenings of cinema and video, in their different formats and genres, directed by Mexican woman filmmakers and video artists.
For Dulcísimo Ovario, questioning and deconstructing gender representations in audiovisual media has been a starting point since 2017 and in each edition.
Final Girls Berlin Film Festival showcases horror cinema that’s directed, written, or produced by women*. We are holding the sixth edition of FGBFF from February 3-6 2022 in Berlin. We are looking for horror films (as well as films with horror elements or films that pay homage to horror), of all lengths. We are also extra excited if female filmmakers wish to visit the festival in order to participate in panels, or give talks or workshops on a particular aspect of horror cinema. We are committed to creating space for female voices and visions, whether monstrous, heroic, or some messy combination of the two, in the horror genre.
Rural FilmFest, member of Green Film Network (GFN), is an international itinerant film festival, which offers a current overview of international documentary film, fiction and animation in a short, medium and long format related to the rural world, ecology, sustainability and natural and cultural resources. Rural FilmFest is not a common film festival, it is a unique and unrepeatable event. It is a summer camp, with excursions, multi-adventure, geocaching awards ceremony (Yes, you read that right. The cultural association Mitreo Film Festival, for the 19th edition of the festival of the same name, announces a selection call for international short films with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, made by filmmakers under 25 years of age, developed on the central theme of “Courage”.
Courage should be not only the main plat, but it must also connotate the language and feeling, the setting and the atmosphere by which the story unfolds, whatsoever kind of genre the author narrates his story (comedy drama etc). Moreover courage should also inspire the author in such a way to make him choose a courageous form of performance, in a few words we are also looking for courageous, and daring film makers, who are able to work in a different way and from an original perspective.
It’s basically important that the theme of courage is clearly expressed in the synopsis of the work
and in the author’s notes which each candidate must produce together with the application form, under penalty of exclusion.
A Los Angeles Film Festival with a French Touch: the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards is the new generation festival in the City of Angels.
Our priority are the QnA.
2019 edition took place in Hollywood.
2018 edition took place in Burbank, Long Beach and Pasadena.
Our Line up included:
- JANSEN PANETTIERE (Hayden Panettiere's brother -Nashville, Heroes-) as a Judge and exhibiting artist. Jansen attended the festival and was on stage to present several awards.
- RICHARD BLAKE, multi-awarded director, who was a panelist to the festival a week after his feature film THE ROCKET got available worldwide.
- WENDY ALANE WRIGHT, the famous talent manager, who gave powerful tips and insights during the Long Beach talk
- MOLLY KASH, producer and board member of ISA (International Script Association) was a Judge
- AUREGAN, singer-songwriter-performer, who recorded with Billy Ray Cyrus and Iggy Pop, was a Judge and presented several awards during the closing night.
- Almost 20 awards were presented
- the festival offered many networking, live music and shows, stand up comedy, plenty of screenings and of course a QnA after EACH and EVERY screening.

HISTORY
Back in 2015 was created the Paris Art and Movie Awards, aka "PAMA", founded by Matt Beurois, mutli-awarded director and producer, whose directorial debut got a distribution deal by Gravitas Ventures.
The Paris Art and Movie Awards today is the leading independent film festival in Paris. Its twin brother in Hollywood, the "HAMA" benefits from an incredible and international network aiming to support the independent filmmakers.

A second celebration of animation is coming to Cardiff in April 2O2O.
Over four days, from the 2nd-5th April 2O2O, Cardiff Animation Festival (CAF) will showcase some of the best animation from all over the world, with a broad selection of animated short films, features, masterclasses, workshops, filmmaker Q+As, retrospectives, an education program, behind the scenes screenings, industry events, panels, networking events and parties.
Held at Chapter, the Welsh capital’s vibrant arts hub, CAF is a focal point for Cardiff’s thriving animation community, and a meeting place for industry, independent animators and enthusiasts from the wider animation world. Cardiff Animation Festival is a non-profit community organisation run by a team of animation lovers and creators living in Cardiff. The Cardiff Animation Festival team have been running animation events in Wales since 2014.
Signals highlights a selection of the best international short films that can engage local communities into cinema. 10 features films will also be showcased exploring the frontiers of today's cinema.

The 28th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux will take place from March 27th to 28th 2024. The projection nights will take place at the UGC Ciné-Cité cinema in Bordeaux.
GOALS
The European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux aims to promote the short film format to the Région Aquitaine's audience. It facilitates the access to cinema for a large public, from all ages. It also supports the discovery of talented directors coming from all over Europe.,It’s a way for the filmmakers to be appreciated by a jury, no matter if they are mere enthusiasts or professionals.

FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival is an all-encompassing celebration of the new tendencies of world cinema. The event focuses on a competitive and non-competitive showcase of the most promising new figures and works from around the globe.
The 21st edition of the festival will take place between the 21st of June and the 29 June 2025, in the seaside town of Espinho (Portugal).
The selection is divided into several categories which include Feature Film and Short Film competitions in the Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental Non-Narrative formats, as well as content adequate for children and teenagers. The event also includes non-competitive sections that range from retrospectives to showcases that can be Shorts, Features or Series.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are accepting films under the following formats:
A) Fiction and Non-Fiction feature films (minimum length is 55 minutes) from directors who are on their first or second feature-length project, regardless of age.
B) Fiction, Documentary, Animation, and Experimental Short films (up to 54 minutes of duration) from directors who have completed no more than two feature films, regardless of age.
C) Fiction, Documentary, Animation, and Experimental Series (up to 55 minutes of duration) from directors who have completed no more than two feature films, regardless of age.
Candidates must choose one of the available submission categories. Do not worry if your film fits different categories (Ie: Hybrid productions), as all submissions will be considered for the different competitions. If your film is also eligible for the NEXXT competition (focused on academic productions) but you wish the film to be considered for all other competitions please mention in the comment section of the submission the academic institution where the film was produced. Throughout the years' FEST has selected for its feature film competitions films such as Celine Song’s “Past lives”; Ainhoa Rodríguez´s "Mighty Flash"; Teodora Mihai´s “The Civilian”; Anders Ølholm and Frederik Louis Hviid with "Enforcement"; Julie Lecoustre, Emmanuel Marre´s “Zero Fucks Given”; P.S. Vinothraj “Pebbles”; Eugen Jebeleanu´s “Poppy field”; and Valdimar Jóhannsson´s “Lamb”, all of this on the fiction side, then in the Documentary side, Karima Saidi´s "A way Home", Michał Edelman´s "Last Knights Of The Right Side", Franz Böhm´s "Dear Future Children" among many others.
FEST’s Short Film sections are known for its wide variety of styles and filmic visions, having been throughout the years a platform for the launch of new artists such as Govinda Van Maele (Luxembourg), Christos Massalas (Greece), Mati Diop (France), Adriano Valerio (Italy), Patrick Vollrath (Germany), Ninja Thyberg (Sweden), Manuel Abramovich (Argentina), Daria Belova (Russia), Simon Mésa Soto (Colombia), Aga Woszczynska (Poland), Jela Hasler (Switzerland), as well as hundreds of other up-and-coming filmmakers.

ORGANIZERS
Cultural Association Time & Memory organizes the thirteenth edition of the Short Film Festival called "SHORT TO SOUTH", to be held in Polla (SA)ITALY from the 21 - 22 June 2025 at the Auditorium "Holy Nicolicchio".
The 14th Year will include new additions and competitions! The International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention is held every June in Northeast Ohio. We have open competitions for films and scripts in the following genres: experimental (film only), fantasy, horror, horror-comedy, slasher, sci-fi and suspense-thriller. We also accept trailers, music videos, TV pilots (film or script), and web episodes (film or script) for projects in the listed genres.
Competition is also open for our horror film scoring competition (submissions through our website). At the event, we have live scream king/scream queen and FX makeup competitions as well.
This year we will also be holding the second annual Room 237 Film Competition where film makers will compete to create a film in 30 days making use of a murder weapon assigned during a zoom kick off meeting. Further information about the Room 237 Film Competition will be available on the Horror Hotel Film Festival Web Site by January 2024. Start building your team and get ready to compete!
The event features four days of film screenings, two days of panel discussions and lectures, a convention starting on Friday afternoon, special guests, networking Karaoke parties, live competitions and more.
