DocsValparaíso International Documentary Film Festival is part of the DocsBarcelona's 3 festivals network that takes place in the cities of Barcelona, Medellín and Valparaíso. The production and development of DocsValparaíso is leaded by the SurDocs team that produced a very important festival in the south of Chile (Puerto Varas) for more than 12 years.
The main goal of the Valparaíso festival is to become one of the leading documentary festivals of Latin America in a medium term by developing the areas of expertise of DocsBarcelona: industry and professional training.
The Festival takes place in the cultural capital and most dynamic city of Chile; Valparaíso.
During the festival there will be screened national and international films, workshops, laboratories, conferences and professional exchange. We will explore new ways and formats to develop documentaries through the InterDocs meeting, a professional event designed to understand, disseminate, create, finance and exhibit the interactive documentary.
Every edition of DocsValparaíso has the goal of becoming a portrait of society while entertaining, awakening and enriching the dialog through the audience, media, institutions and professionals. We want to make the experience of watching documentaries a tool for social empowerment and change.

We roll out the red carpet for your premiere, allow time for Q & A following the screening, or the block of films if you are in the shorts category. We hold live readings of your screenplay with professional actors with you directing.
If you have special skills, you may be invited to moderate a panel or participate as a panelist. Festival Alumni also serve as Awards Presenters during the Bonehead Awards Gala.
Rolling Reels Short-Film Festival(RRFF) is a non-profit, student-run organization established in 2015. Presented by Festember, the biggest cultural festival of South-India, RRFF is a one-day cinematic spectacle for budding filmmakers.
The aim of this venture is to establish a platform for young filmmakers to interact and learn from the veterans in this field. The participants would be given a time period of about 3 months to send in their entries after which thee movies would be filtered first by a preliminary panel of judges. The shortlisted movies are then screened on the day of the Festival. These are judged by a lineup of A-list jury comprising of maestros of the film industry.
Aside from the event, RRFF also hosts an extravagant workshop and a panel discussion on a topic that concerns our industry.

Il GEH Short Film Competition è un concorso di cortometraggi sui diritti umani che si svolge in diverse località di Gipuzkoa (Paesi Baschi).
Questo concorso fa parte del progetto globale sui diritti umani Giza Eskubideak Herrira (Bringing human rights to the people.). Il GEH è un progetto di sensibilizzazione sui diritti umani creato dalla cooperativa dar-dar Productions nel 2015. Le prime edizioni avevano sede a Ordizia. Nel 2023, il festival si è sviluppato e si è esteso a diverse città di Gipuzkoa (Euskal Herria).
L'obiettivo principale di questo concorso è sensibilizzare ed educare ai diritti umani. Perché questo concorso di cortometraggi è una finestra che apriamo sul mondo e da quella finestra possiamo vedere le diverse realtà in cui le persone vivono in diverse parti del pianeta. Alla luce di queste realtà, intendiamo incoraggiare la riflessione sulle violazioni dei diritti umani in diverse parti del mondo.

We are searching for inspiring films and documentaries that touch the underlying culture of human beings, about human civilization, a day to day experience in modern or ancient society, and about arts and music in any form. Basically, we are looking for everything concerning human being, and the boundariless creativity to shape our culture to become better.
We are also looking for people who make art in any form and people who contribute to the society through art and culture to shine in our Festival.
We invite all filmmakers, artists, and newcomer from around the globe to submit and participate in our Festival, and make films become a tool to create a world with no boundaries.
The Festival is working together with the Madukara Foundation and several international filmmakers.

The Fish&Chips Film Festival – International Erotic Film Festival wants to open, in Turin and in Italy, a window on film genre and create an opportunity to approach sexuality in a creative, free, innovative, lay, irreverent and intelligent way. The Festival aims to be a moment of liberation and expressive creation and it will take place in January 2020 in Turin, Italy.
We believe in eroticism as a basic need of human beings and we want to show sex from different points of view, be they psychological, physical or social, but in any case liberating and non-discriminatory.
We want to research and propose a quality cultural production, able to go beyond the simplistic and abused canonical approaches. We are going to select works with cinematographic significance, able to convey a unique vision upon a broad and varied world, ranging from love to eroticism and pornography.
The festival is meant to be a moment of reflection and enjoyment, which includes debates, exhibitions and shows. For our third edition, we welcome any experimentation, smashed peas, proposals and other pleasantries. We believe expression, sexual and thought freedom to be a key feature for the creation of a more challenging horizon.
Sex has always driven many of our decisions and that’s where we have decided to start from!
La terza edizione del Concorso cinematografico «Goya Rural»
Obiettivo: Sei in grado di comunicare senza alcuna parola, semplicemente usando immagini, suoni o musica?
Goya, è nato nel villaggio di Fuendetodos e oggi è importante sapere, a causa di lui aveva il potere di esprimere tutto quello che poteva cadere (senza paure), utilizzando «l'immagine»
Per questo motivo, questo concorso di cortometraggi, vuole rendere omaggio all'artista Goya come allo stesso tempo finge di essere una sfida per tutti coloro che possono comunicare dal cinema muto.
Il Festival Filoteo Alberini nasce dalla volontà di ricordare il primo inventore del cinematografo, l'italiano Filoteo Alberini.
A Orte si svolge per cinque giorni una manifestazione dedicata ai cortometraggi: color che partecipano con la propria opera vengono giudicati da una giuria critica e hanno la possibilità di vincere un premio come miglior cortometraggio.
La due giorni consente di dare visibilità alle opere di giovani registi e sceneggiatori e di creare un confronto tra pubblico e addetti ai lavori, avvicinando anche i più giovani al mondo del cinema.
Possono partecipare al concorso nazionale opere di finzione di qualsiasi genere (thriller, commedia, sperimentale, ecc.), realizzate da autori di qualsiasi nazionalità residenti su tutto il territorio italiano.
Heritales – International Heritage Film Festival 2018 –
“Rites, gatherings and celebrations for sustainable cultures”
Heritales – International Heritage Film Festival is a cultural project that seeks to disseminate narratives of material and immaterial heritage. Of the many ways to achieve this, Heritales relies mainly on the seventh art of the cinema while also promoting other artistic forms such as photography, interactive media, games, theater and performances.
The project encourages cultural sustainability by promoting a broad interpretation of what can be understood as cultural heritage, fostering new ways of education, international scientific collaboration, encouraging intercultural dialogue and outreach to an international audience.
In this third edition, Heritales focuses on the topic of “Rites, gatherings and celebrations for sustainable cultures”, inviting films, documentaries and other artistic works that explore cultural celebrations and social gatherings as ways to promote sustainability of cultures and places, communities and environments.
Our aim is to promote the circulation of these works around the world, so in the European Year of Cultural Heritage, Heritales goes on tour, multiplying the sites where the Festival will take place and finally “breaking the walls” of the city.
By embracing the practice of itinerant cinema, over the course of twelve months, we aim to show more than 20 films and documentaries in various international locations. The culmination of the festival will see a final gathering at the end of September in the UNESCO´s world heritage city of Évora (Portugal).
Winter Film Awards (WFA) di New York City è una celebrazione a conduzione volontaria della diversità del cinema locale e internazionale. La nostra Missione è quella di riconoscere l'eccellenza nel cinema e di promuovere l'apprendimento e l'espressione artistica per le persone in tutte le fasi della loro carriera artistica, con particolare attenzione a nutrire i registi emergenti e aiutarli a ottenere riconoscimenti e contatti per entrare in questa difficile industria. Siamo orgogliosi della nostra variegata selezione di festival, permettendo al nostro pubblico di godere di film che normalmente non penserebbero di cercare.
Gigiunta alla sua nona edizione, il Festival in rapida crescita mette in mostra il lavoro di registi emergenti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Per il 2019 Festival sono stati proiettati 89 film provenienti da 32 paesi, tra cui un eclettico mix di film d'animazione, documentari, lungometraggi narrativi, horror, video musicali, cortometraggi narrativi e web series, tra cui 34 registi esordienti. Il 50% dei film è stato creato da donne, il 53% è stato creato da o circa gente di colore. Sono considerate
opere di tutti i generi, forme e lunghezze. Tutti i film selezionati sono proiettati al Cinema Village, il miglior cinema indie di New York, nel cuore del Greenwich Village. Il Festival prevede dieci giorni di proiezioni cinematografiche, pannelli didattici, workshop di sviluppo professionale e after-party di networking del settore, che si concluderanno con una scintillante cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà il 29 febbraio 2020.
Un lavoro eccezionale sarà assegnato per ogni categoria, insieme a Miglior Regista, Miglior Attore/Attrice, Miglior Regista Eccezionale Donna, Miglior Film Studente e il NY PERSPECTIVES Award per la migliore rappresentazione dell'esperienza multi-culturale di New York.
