2026 Sparknify Human Vs. AI Film Festival

San Mateo, United States

The Sparknify Human vs. AI Film Festival is a global film festival exploring one of the most defining questions of our time: can machines meaningfully express human emotion—and what does that reveal about us?

The festival brings together traditional filmmakers and generative AI creators on the same stage, not to compete by technique or genre, but to engage in a deeper creative inquiry. Unlike conventional film festivals, Human vs. AI categorizes films by Emotion, asking creators to define their work by what it makes audiences feel rather than how it is made.

Each submitted film is centered on one of seven core human emotions—Joy, Rage, Sorrow, Contentment, Love, Aversion, and Desire. Emotion becomes the common language between human storytelling and machine-generated cinema, and the lens through which all works are evaluated.

More than a competition, the Human vs. AI Film Festival functions as both a Turing Test for AI films and a creative compass for filmmakers. It examines how effectively AI can evoke genuine emotional response, while simultaneously challenging human creators to reflect on how cinema expresses humanity in an age of intelligent machines.

Selected films are reviewed by a panel of distinguished academics and creative leaders spanning cinema, artificial intelligence, and human perception. The festival culminates in a live premiere event featuring nominated films, panel discussions, and dialogue on the future of storytelling at the intersection of technology and emotion.

At its core, the Sparknify Human vs. AI Film Festival is not about humans versus machines—but about emotion as the measure of cinema, connection, and what it means to be human.

The Terra Alta Film Festival — inFCTA is a competitive short film festival held annually in Bot, in the heart of the Terra Alta region (Catalonia, Spain). The project is rooted in the conviction that cinema is a tool for thought and encounter, and that artistic excellence can be developed with the same rigor in a rural context as in any major cultural centre.

Since its first edition, inFCTA has developed a distinctive model that combines a solid competitive structure, professional presence, and a strong connection to its territory. The festival understands its setting not as a backdrop, but as a cultural context that actively engages in dialogue with the works and their creators. The programme places cinema at its core, surrounded by industry activities, training initiatives, and spaces for exchange between filmmakers and audiences.

The call for entries is open annually. Submitted works are evaluated by a professional selection committee and assessed by an independent jury, according to clearly defined curatorial criteria: narrative and formal quality, artistic coherence, creative risk, and plurality of perspectives. The festival is committed to singular voices, to supporting emerging talent, and to fostering the active presence of selected filmmakers throughout the event.

The 10th edition, to be held from August 2 to 8, 2026, consolidates this trajectory and reinforces its competitive and professional dimension, while maintaining an open outlook towards the European context and the evolution of contemporary audiovisual language.

These regulations govern participation in the following sections and awards:

16th DELHI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2027

New Delhi, India

We are pleased to inform you that the 16th Delhi International Film Festival, 2027, is being organized as a five-day event in New Delhi in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (Ministry of Culture). The DPRK (North Korea) and Russia will be the country partners. This includes seven editions of the 15th Delhi International Film Festival, 2027, which will run from Feb 22, 2027.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which functions as a component body of the government, is a key player in the Delhi International Film Festival, ensuring that whenever a film festival abroad requires Indian films to be shown, we participate with Indian programs.

The festival will feature films from over 50 countries in sections such as Indian Showcase, World Cinema, Arab Cinema, NRI Cinema, and Across-Border Cinema. The opening and closing events will be key attractions. This year is a year of focus on Arab cinema and cinema from India's Northeast.

But the most important aspect of the 16th edition is the screening of films related to women's empowerment and social issues related to children.

In previous editions, Canada, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, Russia, and Israel have been country partners. Eight films screened and awarded at the Delhi International Film Festival have won National Awards, such as Agam and Dada Lakhmi, and four foreign films have been official entries for the Oscars from their respective countries.

DIFF is a unique festival of its kind, playing a vital role in promoting Indian cinema, art, and culture not only in Central Asian and Arab countries but also in European countries. DIFF has organized Indian programs in DPRK (North Korea), Sri Lanka, Egypt, Jordan, and Tunisia. Last year, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Morocco, DIFF also organized an Indian program in Tunisia and Morocco.

Another unique feature of DIFF is its inclusive approach. All Indian regional film industries have a significant presence at the festival, and the South Indian film industry, which is particularly large, is well represented at DIFF. DIFF also supports and guides the Jharkhand and Haryana International Film Festivals, and upcoming film festivals in South India and other countries.

In a noble effort to celebrate Indian cinema, the DIFFA Awards – the Delhi International Film Festival Academy Awards – will be held annually abroad to promote and honor outstanding contributions to Indian cinema.

This year, the DIFF Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to world-renowned singers Ms. Usha Uthup and Ramesh Sippy. R.D. A tribute to Burman is being planned and in this regard, artists like Ms. Tagore, Ketan Mehta, Runa Laila, Rituparna Sen Gupta, Raghuveer Yadav, Rajpal Yadav, Ravi Kishan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Mita Vashisht, Chittaranjan Tripathi, Shruti Ulfat, Piyush Mishra and Renuka Shahane are planned to be invited.

About the Festival

Hamilton Film Awards is an international competition with public screenings and an exclusive award ceremony, created to honor the finest talents of the independent film industry, selected from the most prestigious competitions around the world. This award is dedicated exclusively to short films, indie films, experimental films, and music-driven films.

The festival accepts films made after 2023.

Hamilton Film Awards is an international competition with public theatrical screenings and an exclusive award ceremony, designed to celebrate the best independent talents participating in prestigious competitions worldwide.

The Hamilton Film Awards (HFA) aims to discover and honor cinema to which the festival is ready to offer its “hand and heart.”

To identify and preserve those acts of cinematic creation where form becomes revelation and craftsmanship reaches the level of a spiritual feat. We believe that true cinema is not an imitation of life but its transformation into light—where every frame is a carved-in-time ode to the invincible power of beauty in the art of film.
We seek works in which the filmmaker’s reverence for the eternal becomes a visible miracle—film stock turned into revelation, whose final frame becomes pure feeling itself.

The “OVE” statuette is not just an award. It is a living symbol of what lies at the foundation of great cinema: love for creativity and for filmmaking. OVE, holding this gift, becomes the guardian of the eternal. She is not merely inspiration but a conduit between the creator’s world and immortality. In her hands rests the director’s diamond heart — a pledge of loyalty, a promise that even when the director is gone, their love remains, like diamonds that continue to shine in the darkness of eternity.

We believe that true art is the quintessence of eternal values, embodied in the fleeting moment of a single frame. Our goal is to present cinema that evokes emotion, sparks conflict, and is as deep and eternal as true feeling—unique as a proposal of lifelong devotion.

Submitting your work to us is not about winning, career advancement, or recognition in the usual sense. It is for you if you are ready for another kind of dialogue: for your love of cinema to be seen. Not the plot, not the budget, not the technical methods—but the feelings and emotions that make us experience, empathize, love, and live through what gave birth to the film itself. So that your work may be noticed, recognized as a kindred heart, and told: “We know how deeply you love cinema. We see it in every frame.”

If your work is a crystal, we will not shatter it with the hammer of market trends. We will place it in the treasury where cinema becomes legacy—not product. You have already given your heart to the screen. Now allow us to become the mirror in which it is reflected—pure, eternal, and invulnerable.

Your heart, given to art, is recognized and returned to you—cut and polished into a diamond.

OVE is inlaid with a 4-carat diamond heart of exceptional clarity and cut, and coated in 24-carat gold.

Symbolism:

The OVE award is not a prize but a knighthood of vision—a sign of belonging to the brotherhood of those who bring into the world not just a film, but visible proof of the soul’s immortality.
The Hamilton Film Awards strives to become one of the world’s most respected festivals, and its top prize—the OVE statuette—aims to become as coveted as the Oscar.

Hamilton Film Awards announces the launch of its first festival, which has already generated great anticipation thanks to its extraordinary prize.

O. V. E. = Opening — Vertex — End
Symbolizing the Triad of Creation and embodying the three acts—beginning, climax, and finale.

Why submit your work?
So that your “heart,” offered to art, may be recognized and returned to you—cut into a diamond.

Submit to us if you are ready for another kind of dialogue: for your love of cinema to be seen. Not the plot, not the budget, not the techniques—but the emotions, the feelings, the life force that gave birth to the film. So that your work may be recognized as a kindred soul: “We know how deeply you love cinema. We see it in every frame.”

If your film is a crystal, we will not break it with the hammer of convention. We will place it where cinema becomes heritage, not product. You have already given your heart to the screen—now let us become the mirror that reflects it: pure, eternal, invulnerable.

So that your heart, given to art, may be recognized and returned to you—cut into a diamond.
