We continue to accept submissions but please not your film will be submitted to the 2020 edition NOT 2019. This is due to Government elections on Madeira.
Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
The entry fee is 30 / 40 / 50 Euros depending upon submissions date and irrespective of genre and running time. Exhibiting filmmakers will be offered 3 nights accommodation including breakfast on Madeira during the festival.

The call for entries starts on August 16th 2018 and will remain open until April 2nd 2019.
The Madeira Film Festival is non – competitive. Rather than present awards MFF offers delegates the status of ‘AMBASSADOR OF THE LAURISSILVA’ thus helping to preserve and create awareness of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva forest.
The Madeira Film Festival organisation fervently believes there is no better place in the world to stage a film festival than on the piquant Island of Madeira and there is no better place on Madeira to stage a film festival than in glorious Reid’s Palace Hotel and the Municipal Theatre in Funchal.
The crux of the Madeira Film Festival is to pay homage to the resilience of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva Forest by screening a slate of films which are expansive, unsettling and profound,films which will hopefully impinge upon the viewers imagination.
One of the most effective measures that can be implemented in order to raise awareness of the Laurissilva forest and subsequently it’s preservation is through the undisputed persuasive strength of audio- visual communication. The aspiration of the Madeira Film Festival is to become one of Europe’s foremost film festivals, by sheer virtue of location there exists an inherent capacity to attain this.

Over the years and with the support of multiple public and private entities, CINEFIESTA became one of the most important Short Film Festivals in America, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that it is one of worldwide relevance.
The idea of creating a sport film festival in Croatia was born out of a desire to establish a well-executed cultural and media event celebrating sport films and showcasing athletes and the sports industry in general in a broader cultural context. The focus and highlight of the High 5 Sport Film & Media Festival will be a carefully selected international selection of sports documentaries, many of them premiering at the event.
In addition to film screenings, we envisage a complementary program of daily panel discussions and lectures, including discussions regarding the simultaneous 2016 UEFA European Championship and sport-themed art and photography exhibitions, including a retrospective of Croatian sport photography.
This concept will foster cross-promotional opportunities and create an exciting venue for socializing and media coverage. Zadar, as one of Croatia’s premier tourist destinations, is a perfect setting for this event which is planned to take place over five days in various locations in Zadar, including Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences Punta Skala, Hotel & Spa Iadera, Family Hotel Diadora, Arsenal Zadar and HNK Zadar.

The festival runs in 4 quarters, selections being made every 3 months.
The entry deadline for our next selection will be September 31st and the winners will be announced by the end of October 2016.
There will be 20 categories and Best Film will receive the London GoldenEye Trophy, a Professional Review from our jury board and a cash prize which will be set depending on the number of entries.

Entries requirements:
-> All films must have been made in or after 2012 and have English subtitles (unless English is the main language spoken); A creation date does not apply in case of the screen writings from being stopped for submissions, but the submitted must be in English or have a copy translated in English;
-> We accept shorts, documentaries, animations, experimental, music videos, web and new media, commercials (all specified previously under 45 minutes); feature films and feature documentaries (any length, 45 + minutes);
->A description between 50 and 150 words;
->Trailer (not required for movies under 7 minutes; optional) and the film must be submitted as an on-line screener (Vimeo preferred) which may be embedded on the website for visitors to see your creation; you can further opt for modifications in your entry;

The 5th edition ICFF 2016 promises to be a great celebration of the art of Italian cinema. In 5 cities (Toronto, Vaughan, Montreal, Hamilton and Quebec City) , film lovers will find a rich, surprising and eclectic film program, where emerging talent rubs shoulders with prestigious guests. This year, the opening and closing galas will be held at the glamorous Ritz-Carlton and Roy Thomson Hall, where movie goers have the opportunity to mingle with directors and celebrities alike.
ICFF is a Festival that takes place during Canada and Ontario’s “Italian Heritage month.” As the only Italian Film Festival in Canada, ICFF is an influential showcase for contemporary cinema of Italian origin from all over the world and brings together filmmakers and audiences to celebrate Italian heritage cinema as well as explore its new frontiers. All films are in Italian or other foreign languages subtitled in English. ICFF takes place over 9 days of cinematic experiences centred on Italian life, culture and history.
The festival will present an international collection of feature films, documentaries and shorts, including premieres, advance screenings and independent films. Screenings will be supplemented by guest appearances by filmmakers, actors, authors, academics and other expert speakers and complemented by Q&A sessions.
