The Boston Science Fiction Film Festival is an 11-day cinematic event held at the historic Somerville Theatre from February 9th to the 19th. The 2018 edition marks our 43rd anniversary as the oldest science fiction film festival.
The first nine days is a traditional film festival. Films submitted and curated from around the world are screened, whether they be features, shorts, or webisodes. Plus we have workshops, parties or anything else that seems appropriate. Here at BostonSciFi we emphasize emerging directors with distinct visions.
The Festival concludes with The Marathon, a.k.a., “The ‘Thon”, a 24-hour orgiastic motion picture endurance test featuring classic, new and schlock films. Think of it as binge viewing with 750 close friends. It starts at noon on the 18th and ends at noon on President’s Day.
Boston SciFi is the oldest genre fest in the country and one of the oldest in the world. Being in Boston has many advantages, it is a world class city. Boston is one of the world’s best college towns (hello Harvard, MIT, BU, BC, Tufts and more). As such, BostonSciFi endeavors to reflect all of that in the festival. Then toss in, we are housed in the classic 1914 Somerville Theatre in the almost too hip Davis Square, and you can see why FilmFreeway touted us as one of the Top 100 Film Festivals.

Digital Griffix film awards changed a bit over the years and is now an IMDB listed international online awards competition taking place each three months.
Each three months our jury determines the best films in each category. Note that we do NOT screen films online or onsite. The films are screened privately by the jury. Our goal is to help filmmakers take the next step in their career. Our jury is composed of award winning filmmakers who perfectly understand the hard work put in independent filmmaking !

... фильм заканчивается, и все встают и выходят из кинозала, но титры фильма все еще демонстрируются, и при этом упускается из виду огромная работа профессионалов, страстно и профессионально участвовавших в создании фильма. Сколько усердной работы и жертв было вложено в это дело? Кто эти люди за кулисами?
По этой причине в 2012 году был учрежден «Фестиваль кино «Город спелло и Борги Умбри» — «RASSEGNA CONCORSO LE PROFESSIONI DEL CINEMA», посвященный профессионалам, работающим за кулисами кинематографа:

Наши Shorts Their Shorts Screening Session - это мини-фестиваль короткометражных фильмов, действующий в качестве всплывающего окна, в сотрудничестве с партнерами по скринингу по всему миру. Каждый год «Наши шорты их шорты» программы 12 показов короткометражных фильмов, которые демонстрируются на площадках от университетского зала до кинозалов.
Наши шорты их шорты является крупнейшей развивающейся сети короткометражных фильмов в Южной Азии. Работая в выставочных, дистрибьюторских и эмпирических мероприятиях, наши шорты их принимают непосредственное участие в привлечении аудитории к разработке, экспериментированию и реакции на спрос на другой способ испытать фильм.
Международный кинофестиваль Porto Femme — это место для выставки и распространения многочисленных и разнообразных художественных идей. Конкретное мероприятие в борьбе за равное представительство с акцентом на новые представления об идентичности, призванные разрушить стереотипы и стереть невидимость. Фестиваль призван создать пространство для привлечения внимания к женщинам и/или небинарным идентичностям в кинематографическом мире и объединить их на международном уровне.

From February 21-24, 2019, the international documentary industry will once again gather in Eindhoven for the 6th edition of DOCfeed. With a program of the finest selection of films, and a friendly audience, with workshops for and by documentary professionals.
DOCfeed is one of the newest celebration of the documentary genre in the world. We hope to see you all here! We offer the option to submit and review your documentary online.
One of the things that makes our festival unique is that we do the screenings in pop-up cinema’s, mainly in old Philipps buildings (as Eindhoven is the hometown of Philipps) and museums. The entry for documentaries will be open from July. We accept only Documentaries. We hope to sustain and promote filmmakers, especially independent filmmakers around the world, to continue their creativity and produce their artworks; to inspire all filmmakers to never stop chasing their dreams in creating excellent movies, and to participate in the film industry.
Newcomers are welcomed. The films will be pre-selected before presented to a judge panel.

Film For All festival is an international & independent film competition. FFA fest sees film as an art that has the power to bridge cultures, individual’s unspoken language and light up the collusion of the human involvement. This festival seeks to enhance, to educate, and to create interest the planet through the medium of film. FFA fest will support each participant for revealing their unique vision as a true masterpiece. The film screenings will take place in the capital city of Bangladesh. Dhaka is an emerging cultural hub in South Asia. This cultural city will take all film enthusiasts to a renowned creative environment. FFA fest is an open platform for them who are interested to share their language through lens.
«Screen Short Fest 2024» — международный фестиваль короткометражных фильмов, который проводится уже шестой год. Фестиваль является детищем г-на Сохама Банерджи, отмеченного наградами режиссера короткометражных фильмов и предпринимателя.
Фестиваль приглашает всех короткометражных режиссеров с короткометражными фильмами в жанре живого боевика и анимации на любом языке (с английскими субтитрами) в течение 20 минут (включая название и титры).
Фестиваль призван показать лучшие из последних национальных и международных короткометражных фильмов мира любителям кино из Калькутты, Индия.
Харрогейт кинофестиваль является форумом для молодых и признанных кинематографистов, чтобы предложить короткометражные фильмы в конкурсе. The purpose of this film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas & culture between India & other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos. JIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the world through the medium of films & documentaries.
Though the film festivals have became a regular affair in most countries yet most of them cater only to selected audience as well as entertain the commercially successful film makers and related personalities. However, LIFF intends to organize a festival that connects the film fans & movie goers with the world, especially the serious filmmakers & their associates so as to bring about greater understanding of the art of film making.
In October every year the Jaipur International Film Festival, Jaipur International Film Festival Trust and Film Library (we are bringing World's Largest & Secure Film Library soon) by Jaipur International Film Festival and Trust will organize Library International Film Festival in Jaipur at Golcha Cinema based on the top films/entries of the year in each category like Feature Fiction, Documentary Feature, Animation Feature, Short Fiction, Short Documentary, Short Animation, Ad Film, Song and Poster. Audience will choose the top ten films/posters/songs (not screenplays) by voting, out of all screened films/songs & selected posters in this festival. The top film will be awarded with the cash prize of INR 1.oo lac and certificate and memento. The other top nine films will be awarded certificates and mementos.

Top rated films will be announced every month or before notification date September 15, 2017.
Audience Choice Awards.
Top rated films/entries will be screened in Library Film Festival. (released/produced after 1st January 2016).
Library fee also include lifetime Library submission fee, so do not pay again for Library submission.
