E?! Okolišni filmski festival (E?! Environmental Film Festival) was first imagined in 2014 by the Activist Group of Zelena akcija - Friends of the Earth Croatia, the biggest and oldest environmental NGO in Croatia. The aim was to bring the environmental topics closer to the new and wider public through documentary and feature films, as well as other content.
From the villages on another side of the world, small actions that result in big changes, to international contracts behind closed doors, we care about it all; we believe that environmental justice consists of ecological, social and economic justice, and that we cannot observe them individually if we want to achieve the systematic change that we advocate.
We screen films and organize discussions, workshops and related content that informs and inspires, in order to encourage critical thinking, social change, solidarity and action. Over the years the festival has expanded, attracting approximately 350 people in 3 days.
The Festival is passionately and voluntarily organized by the Activist Group, and regardless of the resources we have, the entrance to all content is and always will be free. Our primary goal is to spread awareness and mobilize, not to create profits, so - welcome!

6th Amazonía del Plata Film Festival arises from the homonymous plastic / audiovisual exhibition that was held in Tigre in 2019 and seeks to address audiovisual works of inhabitants and contexts of basins, islets, cenotes, meanders, coasts and all those amphibious territories resulting from the conflict between hydric nature and its relationship with civilization.
The 6th Amazonia del Plata film festival will be held in Tigre and Quilmes in March/ April 2024.
Moritz Feed Dog is the first festival in the state that combines film and fashion.
Premieres, iconic documentaries and titles full of content on the big screen. Stories that come from different countries and also works that are the result of national talent in the field of production and direction.
Moritz Feed Dog is held in person in Barcelona, and for 2021 a hybrid festival is planned that includes a face-to-face and an online part. In addition, the Festival is also held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Although they have their own artistic team there, the documentaries selected in Barcelona are automatically also valued by the Brazilian committee.
Mecal Pro, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival, will celebrate its 26th edition. The long history of MECAL PRO has consolidated it as one of the most important short film festivals in Europe and the world, thus receiving the support of local, national and international institutions. We have screened in 2023 more than 300 short films in 29 sections that we program.
Mecal is strongly committed to promoting the exhibition and dissemination of audiovisual creations in the short format, not only with the public, but also in having creators and distributors meet through different activities. Medina Film Festival (SECIME) is one of the most consolidated events in the national film scene, identified as one of the major references for the promotion and dissemination of short films. It has managed to forge itself as a festival with its own personality, betting equally on emerging talent as well as on the most consolidated trajectories.
The festival is synonymous with commitment to the short film, placing itself at the epicenter of an audiovisual offer endorsed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain as one of the key festivals in the pre-selection of candidates for the Goya Awards. In addition to having since 2016 with the recognition of the AIC (Short Film Industry Association).
Its offer encompasses six competitions at both national and international level, in order to cover all genres and audiovisual formats -fiction, fantasy and animation- in addition to providing a space for documentary and music video. The 8th edition of the International Independent Film Festival of Ibiza has developed several seus in the 5 municipalities of the Island, for first time with institutional support from the 5 City Councils, and the online version on the Filmin platform. The institutional support in Ibiza is total by adding the Departments of Culture and Tourism of the Consell Insular of Ibiza more various private sponsors in the Island.
Ibizacinefest has renewed its commitment to Ibiza and culture with a program of 132 national and international titles, exclusive premieres in Spain and with 90% of premieres in the Balearic Islands, targeted activities to professionals, shortfilms contests to discover and boost the local and Balearic talent, educational program with special screenings per students and children to create new audiences.
The reflection has also covered his space through 19 conferences after screenings with his creators and creators on his creative process and the relationship between films and problems sociocultural realities. We have arrived at 75 guests, 18 internationals.
Short films are once again the protagonists of IBZCF24 with a qualifier for the Goya Awards 2024 by curtmetratges and colaboration with the European Film Academy with the Short Films on Tour.

We have noticeably increased our in-person audience, by 38 sessions, with online tot l´estat thanks to our 14 program llargmetratges, 3 d'ells of Balearic production, to Filmin, with the presence in communication media, with international articles and a notable increase in impacts respect to the 2023 edition. MAX3MIN is an international festival of short films that have a maximum running time of 3 minutes. From all over the world, it seeks out stories to tell in the short length of a song, to take a photo of a time that is changing quickly.
Founded in 2021 as a digital festival, from its second year it was transformed into a hybrid festival, to take the selected films on to the large screen.
The third festival in 2023 will be structured round a series of rendezvous, with a big conclusive party in Milan, alongside a calendar of online screenings on the website www.max3min.com, free of charge and accessible in streaming all over the world, for the promotion of inclusive and democratic cinema.
The aim of MAX3MIN is to be a showcase for short, very short films that often struggle to find a space, and a megaphone for all filmmakers who tell their stories of the world through images and a new language that makes shortness and quickness its force.
For the International Competition, MAX3MIN accepts films of all genres, on any topic, from any country in the world. Fiction, animation, videoclip, advertising, digital art, documentary and mockumentary… the result will be a celebration of ultra-short cinema, an explosion of ideas, contaminations and stimuli. The selection team pays particular attention to the geographical composition of the competition: MAX3MIN opens windows on to unconventional stories far from Western-centric narrations, to reflect as far as possible the heterogeneity of the films entered and the different national cultures of the various countries.
Alongside the International Competition, the NEXT GEN prize is back, dedicated to the best short films made by students at film schools and academies all over the world, with the aim of encouraging the study of moving images, giving aspiring directors a concrete opportunity to compete in an international competition.
Animotion Film Festival is a competitive Film Festival dedicated to 2D-3D Animation and Stop Motion Films. The fourth Edition will be held in Florence (Italy) at Guelfi Sport Center on July 14th 2021.
The AX International Audiovisual Short Film Show aims to disseminate short films (documentaries, fiction, animations and experimental) for all ages, children and adolescents, young people and adults, which present as a central or relevant element such as gender relations and sexualities. Thus, short films that show intertwining between gender and sexualities with other markers such as social class, race and ethnicity, generation, disability, migration, are very welcome.
The Show also includes a multitude of themes that can cross issues such as life trajectories, violence against women, masculinities, fatherhood, motherhood, eroticism, corporeality, LGBTQIAphobias, sexual exploitation, sexual and reproductive rights and processes of resistance and struggle of women and subject LGBTQIA +, as well as a multitude of fields of sociopolitical life such as the State, capital, coloniality, politics, human rights, education, work, health, culture, public policies, among others.
In recent editions, many short films have been produced and selected that portray more general themes, of collective interest, in the field, for example, of indigenous rights, land, housing or the defense of democracy. So this year, realizing that such productions only enrich, densify and pluralize our Curta o Gênero, we formally opened for submissions of short films of this nature, which will be produced in specials.
Miniboxoffice International Film Festival is now Noida International Film Festival. After having three successful editions of Miniboxoffice International Film Festival which caters mainly for short films only is now turned bigger with the addition of feature films section to it. In year 2014 the management of Miniboxoffice has renamed it on the name of India’s fastest developing city ‘NOIDA’. Housed at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, nestled in the Frank Gehry designed complex on bustling Main Street in the beach town of Santa Monica, California, the Cinema at the Edge Independent Film Festival presents films of all genres that feature a distinct vision, a unique voice or a challenge to what is expected and accepted in the medium. Cinema at the edge gives new and recognized films and filmmakers the chance to ignite audience buzz, gain acclaimed exposure, and provide global distribution opportunities.
The Edgemar Center for the Arts is well known on the West Side of Los Angeles as a venue where up and coming talent share quality work, and Artistic Director Michelle Danner is thrilled to now invite the global independent film community to experience this vibrant beachside collective at the 3rd Annual Cinema at the Edge Independent Film Festival. Cinema at the Edge programs films with a unique voice and a clear vision, that blend genres or break conventions of the medium, with an added focus on life in the beachfront communities of Santa Monica and Venice and the talented group of independent filmmakers who make LA's West Side their home. The 2013 and 2014 festivals featured audience favorites from Sundance, SXSW and other major festivals, while maintaining a focus on world or regional premieres, challenging films that deserve a second look and showcasing local artists.
Previous iterations of the festival have welcomed Brett Ratner as an Honorary Chair, as well as a celebrity jury that included film veterans such as Susan Sarandon and John Singleton. The 1st and 2nd Annual Cinema at the Edge Independent Film Festival took place over four days in the spring of 2013, and was the natural expansion of these prior events. Narrative features, documentaries and programs of short films screened for packed theaters at the Edgemar Center, and festival-goers also enjoyed access to opening and closing night parties, an awards ceremony, a filmmaker bar crawl and and a series of panels focused on the various stages of the filmmaking process. Our panels were made up of prolific LA-based producers, development executives, entertainment attorneys and distribution professionals, joined by filmmakers screening their work at the festival. Awards were given out by the jury in the narrative, documentary and short film categories. Each screening at the festival is followed by a Q&A, even if it has to take place over Skype from countries away.
The Wild Indie Sci-fi & Fantasy Film Festival continues to grow and celebrate our favourite genres of film. Enter once, your film is assessed for all the categories (see note below). The new season of WISFFF opens officially on the 5th November, 2022 ("fireworks night" in the UK). The festival is actually open to test and soft launch from October, 2023. You can enter from that date if you wish. Screening will be a big screen in London in November 2023.
During 2020, 2021, and 2022 - The Wild Indie Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film Festival was hosted at the same venue, Greenwich IMAX Odeon Theatre in London on it's lovely big screens. And… “Oh My Word the films look amazing in there!!”. We have had an awesome and ever growing selection of films at the screening, with many more films on the online version of the festival. The online festival site for 2022 ran until November 2022. There are some photos of the screening event on here.
There are a number of challenges, awards and prizes for Micro (2min), Mini (10min), and Short (25min) film categories within the genre.
