Sehsüchte sees itself as a place of encounter and creativity, as an event of cultural diversity and a celebration of cinema, today as well as tomorrow. The festival is planned, organized and implemented entirely by students of the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. The direct connection to the renowned film university enables a unique exchange between young talents, media practice and academia.

"NOS VEMOS EN 16:9 - BOGOTA HOMEMADE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL" is made to reactivate the audiovisual production in Bogotá city (Colombia) and with this new announcement, we are looking to encourage the creation of shortfilms made at home by professional artists and new creators, while setting colaborating networks and audiovisual academic encounters, so we all understand the artist's perspectic about the current pandemic, testing their recursiveness and show original and creative stories, while complying with all sanitary measurements stablised because of COVID-19.

TUC_11 will be held in a very important location for the Turin “Cinema” universe, which is located in the heart of the city, at the marvelous Cinema Baretti.
Cash prizes are awarded for the best feature film, best short film and best documentary. Also, special awards will be assigned to: best director, best actor, best actress, best cinematographer, best editor and best sound designer. The Short Film Slam is a bimonthly competition presented by The Madlab Post that focuses on providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to showcase their work. Each round, a selection of up to twelve short films will be screened for local audiences who get to cast a vote for their favorite film. The highest rated film at live screenings will be declared "Movie of the Month" during the following month. The highest rated "in-competition" films from each live and online screening room will advance to the final round. All finalists get to compete for a total of $1,000 in prize money during the final round and festivities preceding the 2023 shnit Cinemas screening in Philadelphia.

Every year for the last five years, the Short Event association has organized a short film festival in Lyon: "Pour Faire Court". This event, using the codes of the seventh art as vectors of emotion and sharing, invites you to discover a specific program of short films, according to a defined theme. This year, we invite you to express your passion, around the theme “When passion is expressed!” in the sense of what touches the guts, what transcends, what inspires, what is transmitted. Thanks to the visual works projected, we wish to transmit the love of cinema, the passion of the emotion through art, and especially the sharing that brings the discovery of new talents. A meeting around a cocktail will then be proposed to encourage sharing between enthusiasts and artists.

Since its inception in 2006 ÉCU has forged a path for independent film and the scope of its presence has grown to a global scale with the festival often being referenced as the European equivalent of Sundance, an honour that we don’t take lightly.
Spring is not only a fabulous time for Paris but an exciting time for ÉCU because that is when we showcase roughly around 100 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 19th edition, will take place on the 19th, 20th and 21st of April, 2024 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just all about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris in April. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a continual dialogue celebrating and critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our over 50 partner festivals, partner organizations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU’s goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road, which gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity to have their films screened to a broader, global audience. The Musical Écran film festival is a unique event in France, focusing mainly on music documentaries, which takes place each year during springtime in Bordeaux. During a week, the spotlight is on music docs and over 20 films from all over the world are screened and discussions between the audience and the directors are organized. The main venue of the festival is the beautiful Cinéma Utopia, a former church based in the city center of Bordeaux with 5 screening rooms.
Besides the screenings, we host free parties in a beautiful open air venue : the Cour Mably in Bordeaux with djs from all over the world.
