It´s the way of calling: NOVMA (non violence & Enviroment Film Festival)
The first edition of the NOVMA FILM FESTIVAL took place on october 2012.
Welcome the 2nd annual FilmQuest Festival!
FIlmQuest celebrates the majesty of genre filmmaking such as fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and the beyond. Awarding filmmakers in 2014 with over $30,000 in awards and prizes, including the coveted Cthulhu Trophy, the festival launched with great praise and fanfare . FilmQuest has been designed specifically to cater to the empowerment of the filmmaker through various events, awards, swag, connections, and more.
In creating the festival, we thought long and hard about what it is that makes a festival great. We asked ourselves the tough questions. What we’ve come up with is, we believe, a festival experience that is the kind most filmmakers dream about.
Major industry professionals took part in the first Grand Jury, including Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Silver Surfer, Hocus Pocus), Dameon Clarke (Borderlands 2, Dragonball Z), and Amrita Acharia (Game of Thrones). The New York Times bestselling author, David Farland, is already confirmed for the 2015 Grand Jury. The award juries will award our filmmakers in over 25 individual categories. Our selection committee is also made up of a group of industry professionals from various fields, such as directors, actors, producers, professors, writers, animators, casting directors, and more.
FilmQuest itself is the film festival branch of FantasyCon, a convention that puts the fantasy experience of the patrons first. It is an interactive convention, where dragons, magic and battle literally comes to life. Just as FantasyCon is a celebration of all things Fantasy, from horror to adventure, so is FilmQuest a celebration of all things Fantastic in film.
We will also be hosting parties, events, panels and more!
We encourage you to explore our website (www.filmquestfestival.com) for new information and updates as it comes, including who is on the Grand Jury, the Selection Committee, the Official Selections, venues, and more. As the year progresses, we'll be updating our website and this page with more info on what to expect, the celebrities who will be involved with FilmQuest, the official dates (2015 FilmQuest will take place in July, 2015), and more.
Prepare for Fantastic.

The International TV Festival Bar is held in the last week of October in the town of Bar lying on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro, one of the six former Yugoslav republics.
The Festival was started in 1994. It has endeavoured to preserve the loosened ties among people and nations of what used to be their common homeland, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and indicate that their future cooperation in the media and openness to the world is inevitable.
The first festival took place in 1995. After one year's break in 1998, it continued gathering more and more television centres from renowned European and world centres, as well as from all the republics of former Yugoslavia.
The Festival is held in the last week of October. As of 2001, the Festival (MEDIACOM Sector) also organizes events of different content and purpose, such as Meetings of Television Stations of South East Europe, and other similar events.

The Maryland International Kids FilmFest is an outgrowth of the children's programming at the annual Frederick Film Festival -The F3- held each year in June.
Since the beginning, the F3 has been dedicated to providing not only a unique film-going experience in the region by providing premiere films as well as films not likely to be screened in the area, but also providing children's programming on Saturday mornings.
This portion of the F3's programming was so popular that the festival organizers felt an entire festival of great film should not just be reserved for adults, but be provided for the younger set as well. Often, films and programs aimed at children seem...childish. Not challenging. Safe. And far too often, not entertaining. Especially those constructed to be long commericals in the guise of young people's programming.
The Maryland International Kids FilmFest is committed to bring high-quality, challenging, and, most importantly, ENTERTAINING movie programing...in the form of short films as well as feature length films...to the state. And we can pretty much guarantee that you'll not see any film with a fast-food restaurant tie-in product.
Other film events during the MIKFF will highlight the venue itself. The Weinberg Center for the Arts is an historic building and a jewel valued by the entire state and the festival is proud to have the opportunity to show movies in one of the grandest movie palaces in the area. Take some time to walk around the building while you're here and discover what an extraordinary thing going to the movies once was.
Honoring stories worth telling since 2009.
New Media Film Festival® is a Los Angeles cultural event devoted to the creators who shape how we see, feel, and understand the world. For more than a decade, we have welcomed artists, innovators, and storytellers whose work expands the possibilities of narrative expression — whether through classic cinematic craft or emerging technologies that invite audiences to experience story in new dimensions.
Our guiding principle is simple and deeply held:
We are fair to all creators, in all ages, all cultures, and all media.
Each year, the festival becomes a gathering place for imagination — a space where curiosity is celebrated, new ideas are explored, and creators from around the globe share work that reflects the complexity and beauty of human experience. Our stages have welcomed Nobel Laureates, Oscar® winners, Emmy® legends, Grammy® icons, bestselling authors, pioneering technologists, and creators whose voices continue to influence contemporary culture.
A Legacy of Firsts
Long before these formats entered the mainstream, New Media Film Festival® was the first to present:
AI‑generated films
Holographic digital comics
Immersive VR/360 experiences
Mobile‑first vertical storytelling
Blockchain and NFT‑based narrative content
Touch‑rotation stories
Micro‑content distribution
Collaborative V‑screening formats
These “firsts” reflect our belief that storytelling is a living art — one that evolves, adapts, and invites new forms of wonder.
A Global Home for Creators
Artists from more than 50 countries have shared their work with us. Many have gone on to secure distribution, sign development deals, collaborate with studios, or expand their creative practice through connections made at the festival.
We welcome all formats — cinematic, immersive, experimental, online, distributed, or still in post.
If it is story, it has a place here.
