All best films that were selected for the screening, will be shown on the big screen during the solemn final ceremony on September 21 - 24, 2023 in Moscow, Russia and will be able to struggle for the main prize and the title of the "Best film". For 2023, the conceptual committee projects CINETORO as a transdisciplinary Festival-school, dedicated to curatorial practice and the training of filmmakers; building bridges between emerging talents and the most outstanding national and international artists and promoting analysis and criticism related to the production and thinking behind experimental cinema.
We understand experimental cinema as one where poetry and plastic arts come together; that traces its limit beyond the perimeter of spectacularity, of technical correctness, of the themes and forms on the agenda. It is an imperfect cinema, which accepts its artisan condition and deals with the recovery of the consciousness of corporeality. At the same time that he reflects, problematizes and questions the construction of the image and conceives the performativity of the images and all of them belong to him because he is his own archive. Cinema with a territorial imprint, which is redesigned, mutates and then, pronounces itself before the world.

The Bogota International Documentary Film Festival (MIDBO), organized by Colombia’s Documentary Filmmakers Guild ALADOS, is a non-fiction cinema specialized event that throughout the last 24 years has been consolidated in Colombia and Latin America as a fundamental space of the exhibition, dialogue, and thinking around non-fiction audiovisual.
Regarding the 26 MIDBO, we would like to invite local and Ibero-American filmmakers and producers to submit their audiovisual works to our 2024 call for films and to participate in the varied formative and debate spaces that will take place virtually and on-site throughout the festival.
26 MIDBO
This year the 26th edition of MIDBO will take place from October 29 to November 4 in Bogotá, Colombia. During the year, MIDBO will screen several films in different regions around the country and maintain the MIDBO-ALADOS Tuesday slot in different allied theaters.
After 25 editions, MIDBO continues to work towards hosting an event that fosters belief and trust in reflection on documentary filmmaking and the diverse approaches to portraying reality. Our main interest lies in exploring the myriad ways of capturing the world. Committed to unraveling the complexities of a reality that surpasses us, we strive each year to create an ideal space for collective engagement with documentary filmmaking.
In 2024, we remain dedicated to fostering creativity and acknowledging the efforts of filmmakers. Hence, we will feature two competitive sections: one national and the other Ibero-American. In these sections, we will present awards for the Best National Documentary, encompassing both short and feature-length films, and the Best Ibero-American Documentary Feature Film, focusing on films over 60 minutes in length produced in Ibero-America. The jury for each competition will be announced one month prior to the event and will consist of three (3) artists, filmmakers, writers, critics, or cultural managers from Colombia and around the world.
Festival of fantasy and horror genre shorts, open to all types of filmmakers, whether professionals or amateurs. The festival will be held in the town of Roses (Spain), from November 14 to 17, 2024. We accept short films of the Fantastic, Horror, Animation, Gore, Freak and Trash genres.
This year we incorporated a new section, La GEEK SHOCK CINEMA, on Sunday the 17th we will hold a marathon of short films, we are looking for underground, festival, comedy, gore and fantastic short films, fake trailers, so that the public can have fun, and shout at the screen, These short films that are selected WILL NOT ENTER THE COMPETITION, participation will be free, but we repeat, THEY WILL NOT ENTER THE COMPETITION, it will only be screened in said marathon, with a maximum of 15 minutes.
CineCapsule, organize a special event for all film addicts! The Festival started in 2009. It emerged from the desire of valuing an important chapter of local and worldwide cinematography and from the necessity of bringing to public debate those topics with an impact able to overcome the daily transience.
An event during which histories and movies give birth to thoughts and passions, provide information and create feelings, raise questions and argue possible answers. A relaxing and vivid happening, which mixes in an attractive manner the indispensable academic rigor and the compulsory sense of humor. This way, a rather unique event for the Romanian cultural market was born! An event able to raise thoughts and stir passions, to provide information and generate emotions, to rask questions and search for answers.
The 13th edition of FFIR will take place between 20 and 29 August 2021 in Rasnov (Romania).

Entrants may submit as many films as they see fit, as long as they are produced between 2021 and 2023.
All films shorter than 20 minutes will be accepted, regardless of their original film or video shooting format.
Films which are not spoken in Spanish must be presented with subtitles in Spanish.
Films' theme is free.
Live action fiction, animation, experimental and documentary films can be submitted.
Submission deadline is Noviembre, 5th, 2023.
The Zaragoza Film Festival, founded in 1995 to create a cinematic activity in the city. At first his main title was the Young Filmmakers. Since 2007 its official name became the Zaragoza Film Festival.

Since its inception in 2006 ÉCU has forged a path for independent film and the scope of its presence has grown to a global scale with the festival often being referenced as the European equivalent of Sundance, an honour that we don’t take lightly.
Spring is not only a fabulous time for Paris but an exciting time for ÉCU because that is when we showcase roughly around 100 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 19th edition, will take place on the 19th, 20th and 21st of April, 2024 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just all about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris in April. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a continual dialogue celebrating and critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our over 50 partner festivals, partner organizations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU’s goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road, which gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity to have their films screened to a broader, global audience. ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 - 2023 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. The city of San Giovanni A Piro, Il Varco and Aedon, are proud to announce the fourth edition of Mondi Lontani Film Festival, formerly known as Scario Short Film Festival.
Mondi Lontani Film Festival in its last screenings saw more than 600 people attending in the main square of the city plus an uncountable number of passerbys on the most populated street of the city during the summer nights.
Our goal is to bring works of art from distant worlds to the heart of Cilento, showing different cultures. We believe in artistic and cultural dissemination as an instrument of education and emancipation of people. We believe that showing distant worlds is the best way to bring everyone closer.
We’re developing a bigger fourth edition thanks to the collaboration with the institutions, planning to show a larger number of quality films in a three-days long event, with a new hybrid format both online and offline:
We are hosting four seasonal calls that will end with an online screening on our platform, selected by our artistic director. The winning films will qualify for the outdoor screening in the main square of San Giovanni a Piro in the summer of 2022 and will compete for the victory of the various prizes, including the cash prize.

The topic of the work will be the violence of gender, in any of its manifestations, its prevention and sensitization against it, being able to present documentaries and short films of plot fiction. The jury will have special consideration for those works that address this issue by focusing on the youth world.
