マラガ映画祭は、マラガ市議会の機会均等地域と協力して、映画制作における女性の存在を支援し、オーディオビジュアル分野、専門分野の女性が、演出、制作、脚本のいずれにおいても過小評価されている女性の作品を目に見えるようにする空間を作り、女性の多様な見方を持つ映画業界を支援するという目的を追求しています。
この目的を達成するために、機会均等エリアは、2024年10月から11月の間に「XXII FILM SHOW WOMEN ON STAGE」を開催します。
ウーマン・オン・ステージ映画展は、シネフォーラムの開催を通じて、私たちの社会だけでなく近隣の社会にも存在するジェンダーの不平等について、その原因とそれを根絶するための可能な社会的戦略について議論することを目的として2002年に創設されました。
2010年以降、職業上のキャリア開発に関心を持つ女性が日々増えていることを利用して、男女格差が大きい映画制作における女性の存在を支援することに、意識と認知度を高めるというこの目的が追加されました。 したがって、この分野では、オフィシャル・ウーマン・オン・ステージ・セクションの目的の一つは、女性が制作したオーディオビジュアル作品の認知度を高めることであり、夕方のセッションでは、女性が監督、制作、脚本を書いた作品を独占的に上映することで達成されます。
Inconvenient Films is an international competitive human rights documentary film festival, taking place in various cities and towns accross Lithuania. Established in 2007 as an annual film event, it is currently the biggest documentary film festival in the country and the only film festival of this kind in the Baltic States region. The festival invites filmmakers, experts, activists and festival audience to appreciate and discuss the role of documentaries in reflecting and shaping our understanding of reality. The mission of this festival is to use award winning author driven films in raising awareness about human rights issues around the world, encouraging public debate on ways to address them.
Festival’s International Competition is dedicated to the films by new filmmakers – their first or second feature documentary. Films are selected considering artistic value, filmmaking skills and revelation of a relevant human rights topic. The Best Film is selected and awarded by international jury.

Kicking off at an undisclosed location in the fall of 2016, the Wayfarer Film Festival embodies the spirit of the great American road trip, the lost traveler, and the unbeaten path. Each year, the Wayfarer Film Festival will takeover a different, unique venue for a weekend long celebration of independent cinema complete with awards, outings, parties, and of course film. Another Independent International Film Festival (AIIFF) is unlike any other festival you’re going to be a part of. While we would like to see the newest films, we also believe that there are a lot of really good films that have been completed in the past and haven’t been seen by as many audiences as they could have.
AIIFF aims to connect filmmakers with talented people and interested audiences. Our core focus is on traditional film making. Through the love of film we strive to teach diverse audiences about films and making them.
Most film festivals will ask for only the newest films, with premiere status given to them. We’re the opposite of this idea, we want films completed BEFORE August 2015, if you have a film that was made sometime between August 1, 1890 and January 1, 2016, and have the rights to screen it, then we want to see your film!
AIIFF is a fund raiser for Chippewa Valley Community Television – The organization’s mission includes educating interested individuals of all ages about film and television production, civil discourse civic engagement, understanding what it means to live in a ‘free society’, and how to engage intelligently with one’s elected officials. All funds collected from the film festival go directly to helping Chippewa Valley Community Television.
Friday Harbor Film Festival features 3 days of award winning documentary films about the diverse cultures and environments of the Pacific Rim. Films will feature fascinating island cultures, revealing marine ecology, heroic adventures, sustainable agriculture, social justice, current environmental issues and stirring human interest stories. Filmmakers will be on hand throughout the event to introduce their films and participate in a forum on documentary filmmaking, mingle with filmgoers and answer questions.

Since 2003 the international Festival SIGNES DE NUIT is active in Paris, Berlin, Saarbrücken and with special screenings world wide. The festival in Paris actually presents around 300 films coming from around 50 countries at different places in Paris. In Berlin the festival will be performed in the legendary cinema Babylon.
The International Festival SIGNES DE NUIT based in Paris is made up of films, which reflects new views, original imagery and critical approach to the crucial points of the modern human existence. It is a place for cinema that expands its own boundaries, that is astonishing, different, potentially free from the pressure of tradition, ready to give itself to the unpredictable experimentation.
The minor costs of digital production makes an independant- from comercial influences and any kind of censorship- production possible. These independant productions create an alternative, an artistic space very subtle and accessible to all, in contrast to what mass media offer.
This opposition and the preservation of the free cultural space is the goal of the International Festival Signes de Nuit, which has realized screenings and interventions in 29 different countries including Algeria, Australia, Chile, Cuba, Lebanon, Lithuania, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Peru, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey and the United States beside the screenings in main festival in Paris.

Axolotl Film Festival of Mexico City with Cactus Films invite Mexican and international filmmakers residing in and outside the country to participate in its second edition to be be held from the 9th to the 13th of November, 2016 in the windows of different shops on the main streets of the Historical Center of Mexico City.
The shop windows are natural screens, generally disregarded, ready to present and recreate our lives and experiences in Mexico City. Commercial establishments are no longer meeting places for citizens and, conversely, are spaces that separate us. We believe that cinema can generate and promote a sense of community among the residents and the visitors of the city.
All participating short film and video need to reference, in their subject matter, characters, settings and/ or storyline, to Mexico City. The short films could have been produced in Mexico City, in other states or abroad.
