Screen Australia, Film Victoria, Create NSW, Screen West, Screen QLD, Screen NT, Screen Tasmania, Documentary Australia Foundation, AIDC, and Goodpitch Australia productions are encouraged to apply. MDFF wants to have the very best Australian competition drawing from local industry and indie talent. The Coolest Cinemas:
Melbourne Documentary Film Festival is currently part of the Cinema Nova family of festivals including Transitions Film Festival, Melbourne Queer Festival, Monster Fest. Cinema Nova is one of Australia's best cinemas and is the southern hemispheres largest independent cinema with 16 screens in inner city Melbourne and one of the coolest cocktail bars around. THE FESTIVAL: MOVEMENT OF CULTURE

The Festival was born with a very specific mission: it aims to stimulate public attention towards an open and wide representative space, such as the rural environment, makes its outdoor projections, open to all, the best exponent. Youth and adults, generations separated by years and experiences, gather around a screen, which is the focus of the light of a past and a future: culture is timeless, culture unites, and film language will be the link common to temper emotions and feelings, to treasure memories, to provoke lively gatherings.

In this way, all attendees of the event can enjoy a heterogeneous and dynamic speech. Through this cultural impulse, the different currents of creativity allow viewers to move and explore new and old codes in a public space, creating community.

The ficmonterrey is in a constant search for human narratives that rely on views that emerge from a world in constant movement and transformation, in interconnection and innovation for its selection.

The Festival seeks films with the power to reside in the collective memory of audiences, with the power to move and create dialogue with them.

One of the key interests of the ficmonterrey organizing team is to encourage new perspectives, those who are young not because of their age, but because they are fresh, for remaining critical, for achieving themselves with innovation and venturing into various risks.

The general objective of ficmonterrey is to bring together in Nuevo León an in-person audience, and a virtual one throughout Mexico, before a selection of contemporary Mexican and international cinema created by filmmakers with diverse, fresh, risky, critical, and innovative visions. Likewise, we are interested in providing a training space that promotes the meeting between filmmakers, films and the audience; and activities that promote film production, especially women's and regional ones.

Short films

React Film Fest was born from the need to create a showcase and a platform for all types of Shorts: narrative and artistic short films, commercials, video clips, pilot for web series, documentaries and short animation shorts.
The festival mission is, as its name goes, to create a great cinema and audiovisual feast; the artistic direction of the festival intends to give space and reward the art, creativity and the beauty not only with a statuette but with employment contracts, stages, workshops and distribution of the directors and of the works rewarded.
We want to promote knowledge and diffusion of international cinema in all its forms of art, entertainment and industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialog. This idea was born from the precise consideration that today, in Italy, there are not festivals that create opportunities for viral diffusion of young and talented directors who should be rewarded by the public - first of all - and thanks to the audience reactions to reach the necessary production opportunities and financing channels. The goal is to create a movement that change the rules of cinematographic game where it is too often difficult to find a place and we are convinced that the cinema festivals are still the best place to explore the independent work and makes it note. YouTube and Vimeo are so overcrowded that good short films are in underwater position. The priority of the REACT Film Fest is to show the best of the best. We provide to filmmakers the opportunity to share their short films with an enthusiastic and reactive audience which want to see new films, new faces and new arts.
REACT Film Fest wants to celebrate the Italian and international cinema and with an international competition reserved for audiovisual works that represent new aesthetic and expressive trends of the worldwide cinema, with particular regard to the beginnings, emerging and not yet established authors, minor and less known cinematography, but also works which compete with the genres and the current production with innovation intent and creative originality. The kermesse allows directors to submit their works to be judged by professionals and challenge with other talented directors. The discovery of new generations of filmmakers and the realization of their dreams are the main pillars of the REACT Film Fest.

The 'Lost World' of Paleochora nestles between the Mountains and Sea in South West Crete and is the perfect location for Filmmakers to convene to show their work, network with colleagues and enjoy our fabulous Cretan hospitality. We may be at the most southern point of Europe, but there are Big Film things happening here and on the entire Island of Crete. Our main aim is always to select films which focus on great storytelling, whether fiction, documentary or any other accepted genre. We look forward to your Film Submission. Accepted duration up to 30 mins.
