Welcome to our Winter Season that runs Monthly from January thru March 2025.

NewFilmmakers NY is New York's longest running year round Film Festival. Throughout it's twenty-eight year run NewFilmmakers has provided a platform for first time and veteran filmmakers.

We have taken an exciting new direction with NewFilmmakers called NewFilmmakersPlus which will move our festival into the digital age and allow us to reach international audiences.

While theaters have been closed, our online audiences have greatly exceeded those in theaters. With NewFilmmakers Plus we have added the missing audience participation to our online screenings.

Now filmmakers, cast, and crew as well as audience members can create interactive video screening rooms while watching a film. Just by pushing the START A GROUPVIEW button to the right of the film they can invite up to six people to talk about the film in a video conference. It’s almost like watching side-by-side in real life — without having to share your popcorn.

In addition our films will now be available for two weeks and screenable any time of the day instead of only one night. This allows more people to see our films and makes it easier to set up a screening event with friends and colleagues. As requested we are switching to filmmaker hosted files utilizing unlisted YouTube links which will eliminate the need to transcode and to send us large files as well as giving filmmakers control over their film.

In today’s world online screenings give filmmakers worldwide audiences instead of limited local ones. With NewFilmmakers Plus filmmakers not only reach worldwide audiences but can interact with them as they would at a traditional theater.

The Festival is awarded every 2 months, and its being appraised by our jury in private screening.

The winners of main categories /Best Music Music Video, Best Munich Music Video, Best Director Music Video, Best Cinematography, Best Production, Best Actor Music Video,
Best Actress Music Video/ will be presented on physical event once a year in our ANNUAL CEREMONY 27th of January 2023 in Tabán Art Cinema - Busapest.

The mission of the IMVA International Music Video Awards is to expand the boundaries of traditional filmmaking by creating a "visual symphony" in which music will play a major role. An international demonstration of music video is to celebrate and educate those who combine two powerful platforms of music and film. IMVA is an International Bi-Monthly IMDb Qualifying Competition (https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0025388/overview/) with Annual Screening Event

Combining image with music creates the long-awaited "integral cinema" that adds another dimension and power to visual messages. At the same time, it gives the second life music itself, which allows us to visualize images inspired by melodies, which are often lost in the subconscious.

As one of the youngest genres in the film industry, it is a video clip, an audiovisual work whose sound component is the whole or substantially a record of the artistic performance of a musical work.

The city of Budapest does not need recommendations. It is one of the largest places in the world where you can also listen to all kinds of music. Its diverse ethnic and cultural community has contributed to the establishment and maintenance of several musical genres. Budapest is also well known for its film culture. The awards ceremony will take place on 27 January 2023 in Tabán Art Cinema.

The MALDITO Videopoetry Festival is organising this competition with the aim of making visible two disciplines that, both together and separately, are much more distant and forgotten than we would like them to be. If experience tells us that both disciplines are minority and marginal in large European capitals, let alone the desert in which they find themselves in provincial capitals, where the circuit for their dissemination is practically nil.

We, as lovers of poetry, image and the expressive possibilities of their symbiosis, propose a line of action, encouraging the approach of the general public to the Festival and trying to make it grow from the first edition.

Our wish is that MALDITO reaches as many people as possible, with a growing presence and repercussion in the media and social networks.

MALDITO seeks to vindicate videopoetry as an art that connects people, that transmits feelings and promotes original or different ways of seeing the world, to try to be a grain of sand that makes any kind of visual or poetic art stop being marginal and cursed.(* The Spanish word for damned is MALDITO).

We expand sections by adding International Poetic Film Showcase.

The One Shot Terrassa City of Film is a film festival that takes back the old Sequence Shot Contest organised in Terrassa between 2004 and 2012. It came last year again, and we're following the success. So this is the 11th Edition of the festival.

The particularity of this festival is that ONLY ACCEPTS ONE SHOT FILMS. What does it mean? As is well known, is about telling a story - at least 3 minutes long - in just a single shot, that is: no cutting or image editing.

In 2017, Terrassa was selected as a "Creative City of UNESCO in Film", a recognition that only 17 cities in the world have. This leads to recover a past that it is what brought us this present.

The festival will take place during the week from October 20th to 23rd 2024, also being part of the "3rd Cinema Week of Terrassa" where the whole city gets involved in film activities. The festival will be held at Cinema Catalunya, the main cinema in Terrassa and part of the "European Cinemas", and other venues of the city, where public screenings, Q&A and roundtables will complete the festival until its Closing Session and Award ceremony night.

To have some historical background, it all started in 1967 when Societat Cultural Joventut Terrassenca - known in Terrassa as "Coro vell" - organized the "Rotllo" film competition with this same idea. Now, Societat Coro Vell, with the support of the Terrassa Audio-visual Board and within the activities of the Terrassa City of Film UNESCO, as well as with the participation of those companies and people who collaborate on this event, wants to recover this current year the tenth edition of the "Concurs del Pla Seqüència", from now called "One Shot - Terrassa City of Film".

LEHIAKETAREN ESPARRUA. GAI ZABALDUA
Gaixoen eta bihotz eta biriketako transplantatuen Euskadiko Elkartea, Atcore, 1996an sortu zen, gizartea organoak ematearen alde sentsibilizatzeko eta gaixorik eta transplantatuta dauden pertsonak eta haien senideak artatzeko. Horrela, Euskadin sare bat izatea lortu dugu, ahotsa ematen eta dohaintzaren gaia ikusarazten lagunduko diguna.
Ulertzen dugu norbaitek organo-emateei buruz hitz egiten digunean, horiek istripuekin, heriotzekin eta abarrekin lotura zuzena dutela. Guk, ordea, hausnarketa bat egin nahi dugu. Izan ere, familia askorentzat dohaintzak denbora-opariak dira, pertsonen bizitza-opariak, eta, hainbat kasuistika direla medio, ezingo dituzte erabiltzen jarraitu. Giza elkartasunaren isla handiena diren opariak.
Gurea bezalako gizarte batean, zeinetan elkartasuna edozein txokotan ikusten den (elikagaien bankua, mota guztietako gizarte-elkarteak, autolaguntza-taldeak, etab.), bi urtez bizi izan dugun osasun-pandemiak: bi urte luzez, oso ukituta utzi gaitu guztiok, eta, batez ere, bazter utzi ditu jasaten jarraitzen dugun gizarte- eta osasun-errealitate asko.
Hitz egiten ari ginen gizarte honetan, gero eta gehiago Internet eta sare sozialen bidezko informaziora irekita, jakin badakigu organoak ematearen aldeko sentsibilizazio-kanpainek, hau da, errealitate soziosanitario horien aldeko kanpainek, isla izan behar dutela sareetan. Eta zergatik ez esan, horien bidez beste komunikazio-sistemarik edo informazioa jasotzeko sistemarik erabiltzen ez duen kolektibo batengana hurbiltzea, edo gai horri buruz hausnartzen gelditu ez den kolektibo batengana hurbiltzea: gazteengana.
Badirudi organoak ematea adineko pertsonen kontua dela. Izan ere, Transplanteen Munduko Erregistroaren arabera (mundu mailako iturririk egiazkoena), Espainiako estatuak lema izaten jarraitzen du Europar Batasuneko buru, dohaintzei dagokienez. Gaur egun ehun mila pertsona baino gehiago daude dohaintza baten zain, horien artean gazte eta haur asko.
Aztertzen ari gara dohaintza egiten duen pertsona bakoitzak 8 bizitza salba ditzakeela eta berrogeita hamar baino gehiago hobetu. Eta hau da lehiaketa honen abiapuntua. 2 minutu baino gutxiagoko film labur baten bidez, irudien bidez, elkartasunaz, opariaz, berriz hasteaz, itxaropenaz hitz egingo digun istorio bat islatu ahal izatea da asmoa. Organoak ematearen aldeko alegatu argia. Dohaintza bizitza oparitzea delako.

The Viña del Mar Terror in the Bay Fantastic Film Festival aims to bring genre cinema closer to the residents of the city and spread its attractions to the world.

Fantastic and horror movies have a cathartic function, when we watch a movie we experience the experiences of the characters without fear of suffering its effects. Violent movies, catastrophic scenarios, terror, extreme survival... provoke an emotional discharge that sometimes prepares us to face our real life.

For this reason we embark on this great adventure that is to make the first edition of Terror in the Bay so special for its audience, we hope to have many more editions and make Viña del Mar enter the map of fantastic world film festivals.
