Advertisements made for people, which produce rejection of people. This is the most common scenario today. Zapping became fashionable in the 90's and its only purpose is to jump from program to program avoiding ads and any ad break.
Has anyone ever wondered that if ads were of great quality, with a great creative weight, innovative, fun, exciting, close to home.... people would see them as any other program or movie?
FKM, Fantastic Film Festival of A Coruña, is a Festival especialiced in horror, fantasy and science fiction films. The competitive sections involves the best shortfilms and featured films produced in 2020 and 2021. Which objective is to contribute to development of the audiovisual industry and arts, fomented the genre perspectives, the distribution of independent productions and to foster the incorporation of new men and women filmmakers to the film culture.

We acclaim emerging directors, screenwriters and filmmakers from all over the world and amplify their work by bringing together a diverse audience to experience and reflect on it, and engage in further dialogue.
Our community exists at the intersection of a broader, more inclusive, cinematic gaze and the emergence of truly exceptional cinema.

Our Story
in 2009 as an informal project to showcase independent cinema in the recondite alleys of Alfama, projected against its iconic stone walls.
In the following years, Cinalfama matured and became a competitive event of an international character, as well as a cultural reference in Lisbon.
The nature of the events has changed over the years, but the atmosphere, films and venues remain as intimate as they have always been.
Our Home
Founded in 1914, Grupo Sportivo Adicense is one of the oldest and most authentic remaining symbols of Alfama’s true soul.
World famous fado singers started their careers waiting tables at this historical institution – one that still stands in the face of constant change and mischaracterisation of the neighbourhood’s urban landscape
Screening Sessions
Tucked into the backstreets of Lisbon’s old town, Alfama, our intimate screenings take place in the city’s oldest cultural house, Grupo Sportivo Adicense.
We host three seasonal screening editions throughout the year, to showcase and award the best talent and films of each one. These are free entrance and all films have English subtitles.
Due to the current pandemic and associated restrictions, we have decided to host next January 2024 edition online, making available a selection of the very best films of the season. Aiming to have live screenings back real soon.
Highlands Film Festival first time brings a more diversified and pioneer film festival in the town of Highlands, where the idea is to excel creative independent film direction through diversity, innovation, and uniqueness to capture the series of movements and experiences in a single film. We help filmmakers across the world to build an audience for their projects and work to diversify the film industry.
HFF welcomes to the first year of celebrating independent films, the festival will be celebrating cinema from around the world and introduced the festival workshops as a way of teaching and inspiring the filmmakers of tomorrow. Movies features from shorts, documentaries to animation and foreign films to student films. These unique, creative and diverse films come from passionate, independent global filmmakers bringing novel ideas and varied art forms to the craft. The Annual Festival will include Red Carpet, Special World Premiere Shows, Audience Choice Awards and Award Ceremony and much more. Educational workshops will be presented by brilliant filmmakers. GUIAR is the first festival created in Pernambuco with audiovisual online shows. The event will take place during five days and will feature international videodance films in competitive and non-competitive shows , as well as workshops, and live and online performance presentations.
The event was created from the annoyance of André Aguiar with the lack of public access to dance performances. "The challenge of inspiring people through the dance is greater because it is an ephemeral and face-to-face language. But through the audiovisual, this cultural expression can be appreciated at any time by people in different parts of the world, thanks to digital technologies and the internet", comments Aguiar.
The use of the Internet is also a key point for the event decentralization and to guarantee popular participation. On one of the days of the Festival, the audience will choose the film that will be screened, through voting by social networks. To make the event even more accessible, there will also be audiodescription, translators and subtitles in Portuguese and English.
The Maipú International Film Festival - FICMAI, shall be held from October 2 to 8, 2023, in the city of Maipú, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
FICMAI aims to disseminate high-quality and top-notch technical content, accessible to all kinds of audiences, with a diverse and entertaining programme that allows cultural enrichment, encounter, reflection, and amusement. An annual meeting place for the city and a space for the exhibition of local productions.
A new FILM Festival dedicated to all films that have MUSIC as protagonist.
Cinema and music have always been arts in close relationship. Music, in Cinema, is obviously a soundtrack which defines the identity of the film; but it can also be the main theme of the story: from fictions to biopics, from documentaries to musicals. The Festival aims to explore the new talents of cinema who consider Music as a fundamental element of Cinema.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for FEATURE FILMS.
Main event of the Festival, it will screen the best international films for artistic research, Italian premieres of all genres, related to Music: fictions, documentaries, musicals and biopics.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for SHORTS. A selection of 15 short films of all genres, related to Music: fictions, documentaries, musicals and biopics.
SPECIAL EVENTS. This section will screen works by celebrated film-makers and by the protagonists of the musical scene, in national premiere.
SATELLITE EVENT: the festival every year proposes a live film-concert of classic films performed by the best contemporary music groups.
PANORAMA on the new trends of international cinema in the last 10 years, all films unreleased in Italy.
SOUNDSCREEN IDENTITY
Another kind of culture is possible: intellectual without being academic, popular without being populist, intelligent without being boring, artistic without being incomprehensible.
The festival aims to create a new culture of cinema, showing its new forms and alternative genres, a fine cinema born in a fresh biodiversity made of brilliant ideas, great visions and powerful emotions; and exploring, in the contemporary arts, the more and more fertile relationship between cinema and music.
The International Short Film Festival of the all us other Social diversity aims to be a platform for young LL everyone disclose their works and share experiences and concerns in a conference devoted to the cinema and people.
The film would not exist without people, but there may be people without cinema? Of course that Yes, and homeless and without clothes and without food, full is the world of people who have nothing, not film. To all of them we dedicate our festival to serve the film les voice, even cry. A means to vindicate the justice, equality and rights denied by the world. An agile and current to denounce injustice and inequality, the horror.
This effort, on the premise that what has been the monopoly of a multi-billion dollar industry, is mutating into a mass system of creation and multicultural exchange. Access to technology and the Internet open field to new youth and community expressions, the filmmaking turns and we intend to respond to this transformation.

The primary focus of the festival is to showcase more plus size talent on screen. At the core of this festival is the requirement that each entry must utilize plus size men (size 2x and up) and/or women (size 12 and up) as leading characters in their films. The selected finalists will be showcased during PLUS PosiCon Sept 21-23 in Atlanta
