The Santander International Film Festival was born on September 18, 2017. It was born as a cinema week focused on creativity, entrepreneurship and youth. It focuses on cinema although it has also given space to other arts such as literature, video art and, in this new edition, video games and VR.

The Luz del Desierto International Festival is an audiovisual Festival that aims to promote cinema within the country and abroad. The Independent Film Festival of Sogamoso - FECISO, celebrates its eighth version from November 1st to November 7th of 2024, "CINEMA FOR PEACE AND THE TERRITORY", a space for the different regional views of the national cinematographic context.
