So many great, short, computer animations produced by students and others that it makes the mind almost explode. AniFest is an opportunity for these beautiful short works, especially from students, to shine in the light of day in glorious Danbury, CT, USA.

Lo Human Rights Film Festival, con sede a Barcellona e uffici a Parigi e New York, è il più importante festival sui diritti umani in Catalogna, uno dei festival più importanti e affermati a livello internazionale della Spagna.

La nostra missione è promuovere voci creative uniche e originali della regione di Ottawa-Gatineau e di tutto il mondo. Mirror Mountain presenta film innovativi, rivoluzionari e non convenzionali in un'ampia varietà di generi, tra cui video drammatici, documentari, animati, sperimentali, horror, fantascientifici, fantasy, di danza e musicali. Oltre alle proiezioni di film, il festival offre attività coinvolgenti e orientate alla comunità come spettacoli dal vivo, presentazioni multimediali ibride, mostre interattive, feste, tavole rotonde, sessioni di domande e risposte e altro ancora. I nostri eventi mirano a mettere in contatto i registi sia con il pubblico che tra loro e a sostenere gli artisti attraverso opportunità di sviluppo educativo e professionale.
Perché dovrei iscriversi?
1. Pass gratuito per il festival per tutti i registi che vogliono iscriversi
Tutti coloro che inviano un film a Mirror Mountain, indipendentemente dal fatto che sia selezionato o meno, ricevono un pass gratuito per partecipare all'intero festival.
2. Iscrizione gratuita per i registi locali
I film di qualsiasi lunghezza possono essere inviati gratuitamente se sono stati girati e/o montati entro un raggio di 125 km da Ottawa. Quest'area include Gatineau, Maniwaki, Mont Tremblant, Montebello, Hawkesbury, Cornovaglia, Potsdam, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Perth, Renfrew, Arnprior e altro ancora.
3. iscrizioni gratuite per gli alumni
Se hai diretto un film che è stato ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato in una precedente edizione di Mirror Mountain, puoi iscriversi nuovamente gratuitamente.
4. Rimborso i tuoi soldi
Se il tuo film viene ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato al festival, ti rimborseremo la quota di iscrizione originale.
5. Meno restrizioni
Non abbiamo requisiti relativi alla data di premiere o di completamento. Il tuo film è comunque idoneo anche se è stato proiettato in precedenza nella regione di Ottawa, è stato distribuito, è stato trasmesso in televisione o è disponibile per la visione online.
6. Paghiamo le tasse degli artisti
Se il tuo film viene ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato al festival, riceverai anche una quota d'artista come ringraziamento per averci permesso di proiettare il tuo lavoro.
7. Resta aggiornato
Dopo aver inviato il film, riceverai una notifica dal festival per confermare che abbiamo ricevuto la tua candidatura. Successivamente, riceverai una notifica che ti informerà dei risultati, indipendentemente dal fatto che il tuo film sia stato selezionato o meno.
8. Premi per registi vincitori
I premi vengono assegnati in diverse categorie dopo il completamento del festival. I vincitori del premio ricevono un certificato e una selezione di premi donati dai nostri sponsor.
9. Qualificazioni al Canadian Screen Award
Mirror Mountain è un festival ufficiale che si qualifica per i Canadian Screen Awards, selezionato dall'Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

To provide you with a taste of what's what... We are proud to present Jonas Georgakakis' "Saga of Biorn" a ferociously funny animated Nordic tale divulging the absolute truth about how one might earn the right to enter Valhalla. Then there is Javier Mrad's "Techopolis," an absolutely amazing 12min stop motion piece resembling Fritz Lang's Metropolis black and white film. This is the only show where so many entertaining films like these take the spotlight and are given full theatrical effect.
Before the "Festival of Animation" it was difficult to see independent, experimental, and foreign animation. Spike and Mike embarks on yearly world-wide film hunting expeditions. They have signed-on animation from the National Film Board of Canada, Cal Arts, Sheridan, Royal College of Art, Annecy, and select studios active amongst the art-house scene that at one time did not have a public venue. This Festival has come to be known as one of the most anticipated touring events on the circuit.
Initially, Spike and Mike produced the "Classic Festival" and later both the "Classic" and "Sick and Twisted" simultaneously- but by the early 2000s, the "Classic Festival of Animation" was phased into hiatus by the Sick and Twisted Festival (mainly featuring shorts venturing into the non sequitur e.g. "Lloyd's Lunchbox"). "The Festival" (meaning the current show) premieres a new cavalcade of adventurous films annually. Spike & Mike's "New Generation Animation" noted as the latest genre in animation, without question is now premiering the most captivating film-set of thought provoking concepts, humor, story, and daring production design in animation.
In animation, it is important to have an accurate gauge on the pulsating shifts in pop culture. Spike and Mike's content has evolved with the changing tastes of our times. The shows in their entirety have toured globally in theaters, film festivals (such as Cannes, Sundance, Annecy), college campuses, and dynamic events such as the Vans Warped Tour, the Winter X Games, and with the nu-metal band Korn.

Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) is an award winning organization with its mission being to foster appreciation for different cultures by exploring the lives of people around the globe through independent film. In 2014 AIFF was awarded the Community Recognition Award by the Arlington Martin Luther King Committee, in 2013 the Alan McClennen Community Arts Award by the Arlington Center for the Arts and the Gold Star Award by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The Unreal Film Festival is an annual film competition held in September in Memphis, TN. The festival accepts both short and feature length films from all over the world, but only films that fall under the horror, sci-fi, and/or fantasy film genres.

Il Prokuplje Short Film Festival, fondato nel 2011, è il festival cinematografico più giovane della Serbia. A Prokplje c'è un evento in cui il pubblico può vedere il meglio del settore del documentario, della sperimentazione, dell'animazione e della fiction di tutto il mondo. Migliaia di film da tutto il mondo arrivano all'indirizzo del festival, e lo ha dimostrato il numeroso pubblico di Prokuplje, ma anche di altre città della Serbia e della regione, perché il team organizza un tour in cui i migliori film vengono presentati in oltre 30 città. Oltre a lavorare con i giovani di Prokuplje, il Film Club Prokuplje è il primo a iniziare ad animare il pubblico delle aree rurali, che sono completamente escluse da tutti gli eventi, in particolare da quelli culturali.

Each month, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents red carpet screenings of documentary, short and feature films that have been submitted from all over the world, followed by a Q&A with each films director. The Short Film Festival of Great ABC is a call to fostering, development and promotion of audiovisual production in the ABC Paulista, the Greater São Paulo area and capital. It is intended for beginners producers, students and local professionals to discover its diversity and identity, promoting a dialogue among residents of the region with other regions of São Paulo and throughout Brazil.
In addition it gives an opportunity for new talent to show and share their thoughts and ways of creating, resgatand the critical spirit in a region that was once the industrial center of national cinema.
