We are the nation's largest celebration of animation and digital art. A festival known for its inspiring program of workshops, conferences, lectures, film screenings and art exhibits offered at no cost. We are recognized for our impressive Competition of International Animated Short Films and for the newly released Living Market, a space to foster a culture of business creativity within an industry that lives off new ideas. We are a unique and amazing experience that every year brings together some of the most influential artists and thousands of minds hungry for knowledge, art, creativity and innovation.
The Diabolique International Film Festival takes place September 19-20, 2014 in Bloomington, Indiana for the premiere showcase of independent genre cinema, featuring horror, sci-fi, fantasy and animation.
The Diabolique International Film Festival began more than 8 years ago. Since 2007 we have screened over 250 films from more than a dozen countries, and from almost every state in the US. We’ve had the honor of hosting visiting filmmakers from around the country, and from around the world. Over the years, we have gained a reputation as a festival that truly values independent genre films and the people who make them. Many of the movies from our past festivals have been picked up by major distributors, and our event has provided numerous networking opportunities.
As a result, we’ve been featured in a variety of national publications, having been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “Top 25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee,” and one of the “13 Horror Film Festivals to Die For.”
The new year brings some big changes to the festival, including a new name, new venue, and new sponsors. We’re particularly excited to announce our partnership with one of the fastest growing genre publications in the world, Diabolique Magazine. The publishers of Diabolique bring their considerable industry connections and marketing reach to the table in a way that we hope will propel this festival forward for many years to come.
In addition to a name change, we’re also excited to announce our new venue, IU Cinema on the Indiana University campus. With state-of-the-art 2K and 4K digital projection (as well as 16mm and 35mm film projection) IU Cinema offers the highest possible projection quality.
True to David Reuben's classic book "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask " we love movies that give us new insights on topics like sexual liberation, erotic fantasies, BDSM, sexual shame, cultural sexual diffrences, the "new" prudery, pornography, the impact of the internet porn on our sexuality and sex activism. The discourse with the filmmakers and actors is very important to us. Therefore we try to invite as many protagonists and directors as possible to our festival and thus offer the audience the opportunity for a dialogue.

FARCUME 2026 : 16e Festival international du court métrage de Faro
Après cinq années de croissance sans précédent, FARO 1540 (Association pour la défense et la promotion du patrimoine environnemental et culturel de Faro) est fière d'annoncer la 16e édition de FARCUME. Le festival sera de retour au cœur de Faro, au Portugal, du 16 au 18 octobre 2026, consolidant ainsi sa réputation de monument culturel véritablement international et cosmopolite.
Notre mission reste inébranlable : fournir une rampe de lancement aux nouveaux talents et proposer au public des œuvres de grande qualité qui ne bénéficient souvent pas de la promotion générale qu'elles méritent. Dans notre atmosphère détendue et informelle caractéristique, FARCUME rend hommage à la créativité et au dévouement des réalisateurs, des acteurs et des équipes techniques qui atteignent l'excellence cinématographique grâce à des moyens modestes.
Le thème 2026 : L'humour comme façon de penser le monde
Cette année, FARCUME explore le concept du rire en tant que langage critique sophistiqué. À une époque où les crises environnementales, sociales et politiques se chevauchent, l'humour sert de pont. Cela nous permet de :
Déconstruisez les récits dominants et les normes sociales.
Comblez le fossé entre des questions complexes telles que la durabilité et la compréhension du public.
Dialoguez à travers la satire, l'ironie et l'absurde pour révéler les contradictions de notre époque.
Plus qu'un simple rire momentané, nous recherchons des films de fiction, de documentaire et d'animation qui utilisent l'humour comme outil de réflexion, des œuvres qui rendent le monde plus lisible et, en fin de compte, plus humain.
Engagement en faveur de l'éthique et de l'environnement
En tant qu'ONG environnementale, FARO 1540 veille à ce que FARCUME soit bien plus qu'un simple écran de films ; c'est une plate-forme pour les valeurs. Le festival maintient une position éthique stricte, rejetant tout contenu qui encourage le manque de respect environnemental, l'inégalité des droits humains ou la maltraitance des animaux.
De plus, nous mettons en œuvre un plan de gestion environnementale spécialisé pour 2026 afin d'optimiser les ressources et de minimiser les déchets, en veillant à ce que l'empreinte du festival soit aussi responsable que les histoires que nous racontons.

Since its 1st edition in Barcelos in 2008, the ART&TUR Festival has effectively fulfilled its mission of making known to the world the best audiovisual productions in Portugal and in the world.
As a forum for sharing experiences, the ART&TUR Festival has achieved a high international recognition, thanks to the quality and quantity of films that it distinguishes annually, as well as its integration into a worldwide network of similar festivals: CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) that annually elects the best tourism film worldwide, among all the films that travel the international circuit of 16 festivals.
From 2018, ART&TUR Film Festival rights were transferred from APTUR to Centro de Portugal Film Commission (CPFC). Associated to this change, and thanks to an agreement between the CPFC and the Regional Tourism Entity of Center of Portugal, the ART&TUR Festival will now be held in the Central Region, roaming through the various municipalities of the Center of Portugal.

About Stuff & Objective - The Student Film Festival (Stuff) is one of the few international film and arts festivals dedicated to budding filmmaker's with aims to provide young filmmakers with an authentic film festival experience, a valuable understanding of the film industry, and an opportunity to screen their movies on “the big screen.” The Festival seeks to nurture and showcase ability as well as the art of film making which encompasses aspects of the arts, culture, history, crafts, geography, cuisine & lifestyle in short what make us what we are. The First International Film Festival of Madrid to promoting sensible cinema and intercultural dialogue.
Le Festival international du film « Prvi kadar » /First Frame est un événement cinématographique important en Bosnie-Herzégovine, dont la mission est de promouvoir l'art cinématographique d'auteurs du monde entier. Le Festival n'a pas non plus un caractère compétitif. Les films concourent dans deux catégories : documentaires et courts métrages.
Quinze éditions du festival, un grand nombre d'auteurs intéressés par le festival, prouvant que le festival est reconnu par les artistes du monde entier comme un événement cinématographique important et prestigieux.
Les sélections du festival confirment la continuité, principalement l'approche artistique, sur laquelle repose toute l'idée de la première image. Lors de l'examen de la relation entre les thèmes et les idées, l'accent est mis sur l'attitude de l'auteur ou sur une idée artistique.
Un programme riche, non compétitif et compétitif de haute qualité artistique, des programmes éducatifs, des conférences, des conférences, DokMasterClass, Film Campus, des documentaires artistiques, des expositions, la promotion de livres d'art cinématographique, de nombreux invités du monde du cinéma, preuve que le festival s'agrandit d'année en année et enrichit le contenu du programme. Le festival de cette année aura lieu du 20 au 24 novembre 2023 à Sarajevo Est et à Zvornik, en République de Srpska, en Bosnie-Herzégovine.
