This is a call for all filmmakers from Yogyakarta, well-known as Jogja, a city with a friendly population, rich in historical value, and adorned with cultural arts, batik, and handicrafts. The place where the classical Javanese art marriage with modern culture in its artworks, drama, music, puppetry.

We accept submissions from all over the world. Categories open are feature and short film, feature and a short documentary, screenplay, and music video. FESTIVAL EVENTS
Jogja International Film Festival (JIFF) will conduct a prestigious and exclusive Awards Night with the presence of kings and queens from Nusantara, filmmaking workshop, and screenings.
JIFF is working together with the Sultanate Office to conduct Royal Ceremony and to provide an opportunity for winning filmmakers to share their knowledge to hundreds of film, communication and broadcasting students in Yogyakarta.
Winning filmmakers would also be gratified to visit the famous Borobudur temple, the 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple and the world's largest Buddhist temple that is one of the seven wonders of the world. CINEfoot - International Football Film Festival is the first film festival in Brazil and Latin America with unique curatorial and conceptual approaches about football. The event aims the promotion, diffusion, reflection and appreciation of football films from all over the world.
The Pichikeche Children's Film Festival in 2015 in the Lanco commune with the purpose of contributing to the generation of spaces to spread the audiovisual language in children of the region of Ríos, Chile. Because we know that online has come to stay and due to national and international contingency we have decided to keep the online version and the same time reactivate our itinerant spirit. NEFILTRAVANAE KINO is a film festival that is held by the Short Movie Club, the platform for cinematic projects.
NEFILTRAVANAE KINO is an exploration of aestheticization and commodification in art. The aim of the festival is to expose the complexity, manysidedness, and variety of filmmaking.
Originally the festival was held in Belarus, but because of political repression and publicly stated anti-war stance, screenings and events can be held in different countries. First of all Poland, Lithuania, and Georgia.
We involve theater, artists to interpret symbols and history. We work with the audience's reaction and participants' as well.

The concept of the NEFILTRAVANAE KINO (Unfiltered Cinema):
ALIENATION PROBLEM
We live in a world of malls and cinema multiplexes. We see that indie cinema and non-commodity art go to the periphery of public attention. Primitive attractions replace the cinematography. The escape audience is alienated behind the big screen. So modern mainstream cinema is part of a manipulating tool that leads to the society of alienation. Thus the tendency is that indie cinema becomes more unreadable for the wide audience. We should understand the context of the filmmaker to understand the independent cinema. That is why the NEFILTRAVANAE KINO concept implies the physical presence of filmmakers.
FILM SELECTION PROBLEM
Filmmakers shoot millions of movies. And thousands of short film festivals organize screenings all over the world every year. On average, several thousand films are submitted to a film festival. So various good films can be neglected for whatever reason. Often selecting probability is like winning a lottery. As a result, filmmakers are left with no feedback. It is a paradox that no one can hear you in the age of the Internet! The mainstream culture prefers attractions and casual viewing.
Also, this idea is based on the film selection problem. Perhaps it’s no surprise one person, i.e. programme director at best, or even students of film schools make a preliminary decision to select a movie. Сoncordance of judges or previewers is more seldom thing than the difference of background, tastes. So selection or judging can be one-sided or perfunctory. It is not bad as the programme director has a good taste and aesthetic sensitivity, of course. But we’ve discovered another conception of “unfiltered cinema”. We matched it against “the best of the best” way. This way aids to perceive cinematic idiom without the dictate of art-curators.
CELEBRATION OF INDIE CINEMA
So the Unfiltered Cinema Film Festival tries to avoid “the best of the best” way but it does not ignore it completely, sure. The festival selects fiction, animation, documentary, experimental and virtual reality sections. A jury awards the best film in every section. The festival holds the screenings at cinema theatres, the National Centre for Contemporary Arts, and art-spaces.
Our aim is to gather people in art, to have a dialogue to be happy with smart communication. Cinema is art but not sport. The key point of our project is to establish communication between the filmmaker and the audience.

First Flights have just won a BAFTA with their short 'An Irish Goodbye,' also an Oscar nominee in the category of Best Live Action Short.

NEW RENAISSANCE LONDON 2023
2023 will be our eighth year in London, a city known for its diversity and innovation in the creative arts. For 3 days in September, we will screen around 100 outstanding films in the heart of London. The programme will include narrative shorts, features, documentaries, animations, dance and music videos, a NETWORKING party and AWARDS CEREMONY.
Running alongside the festival will be a SCREENWRITING COMPETITION, a series of MASTERCLASSES by film industry experts, a filmmaker's PANEL DISCUSSION, Filmmaker Q&A's, and other networking opportunities.
EMERGING TALENT AWARDS
Apart from a high number of UK and International films, NRFF London has a category for EMERGING TALENT (talented Gen Z, debut or early stage filmmakers embarking on their careers in the film industry). Our celebration is part of the International movement Directed by Women, that for the past 9 years has been dedicated to promote and give visibility to films directed by Women.
Cineteca of Madrid and the CICUS of Seville are hosting the tenth edition with a complete program of short film sessions, feature films, unseen documentaries, sessions for young audiences and children. Filmmakers will be invited to present their pieces to the public and to participate in a Q&A.

MI PRIMER FESTIVAL (MY FIRST FESTIVAL) - International film festival for children, Barcelona & Madrid - 17th edition: from November 9 to December 1, 2024
"Mi Primer Festival" is an International film festival for children from 2 to 12 years. My First Film Festival features over 100 films in a total of 21 screenings. In short, MPF is a film extravaganza that showcases both different techniques and formats and the creativity of artists from all around the world.
The international competition of SHORT FILMS for children will include 3 programmes:
- International Short Competition for children over 2 years old
- International Short Competition for children over 4 years old
- International Short Competition for children over 7 years old
The international competition of FEATURE FILMS will include one programme of films, with a maximum of 8 titles.
The festival will take place in November simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid and is a great opportunity for boys and girls from 2 to 12 years old to discover unique and unprecedented cinema.
The festival also programs films that have not been created specifically for children, which is why it encourages film directors as well as distributors to present their works even if they have not been conceived for this audience profile. Younger viewers rise to the challenge, and the introductions and discussions that accompany viewings provide a good context for understanding and enjoying the films.
