Patagonia Eco Film Fest, calls filmmakers from all over the world to participate in the 9th International Environmental Film Festival of Patagonia which will take place in Puerto Madryn city, Chubut, Argentina from September 5-10, 2024.
The festival will accept documentary, fiction, animation films, about environmental issues.
Every year the Adventure Movie Awards international film competition selects some of the best adventure short films from around the world.
A showcase of movies about Adventure intended as exploration, personal experiences and challenges as well as freedom and deep conenction with nature. A sort of adventure that fascinates, intrigues and scares as well, testimony of the free spirit that drives man to leave what is certain and go search for the unknown, pushing further and going beyond the limits.
The aim is to reward the short films that are able to convey this meaning of Adventure on the screen and that are able to communicate emotions, passions and dreams through images and dialogues. Not just pure action, but life stories.
The international competition will reward the best soundtrack, then the best film music composer who will receive the Grand Prix The international competition will reward the best soundtrack, then the best film music composer who will receive the Grand Prix “VIOLETTA D’ORO” (Golden Violette), a flower that is the symbol of Parma, but also represents the name of the most famous female heroin created by Giuseppe Verdi, much loved by the public.
In addition to the first prize, the Violetta d'Oro, will be assigned the “Violetta d'Argento” to the best movie, and Honorable Mentions to best director, best photography best actor, best script and best short film.
The purpose of this initiative is not only pointing out to the audience recent and important features, but also underlining the value of a musical score as an essential element for the poetry and the success of a movie itself.
Besides, the contest will be a chance for film makers and producers to show their own works to a various audience and to a high-qualified international jury.
In addition of the section about feature films, it has been included also a section concerning short films, that will participate in the contest for a dedicated award.
The attendance is open to feature films and videos of any nationality, subject and length (musical productions but also dramatic films, comics, historical or Tv productions, etc).
SPECIAL CATEGORY: short film of Dance, with a Jury that will give a "DANCE AWARD".
Award Ceremony will take place at Casa della Musica in Parma on September 21th 2024 at 5.00pm with Dinner Gala, at which all producers or directors who have their film in nomination will be invited.

Serving as a Premier Film Festival, the Lakecity International Film Festival (LCIFF) held in Delhi was founded to showcase the leaders in contemporary film making, and aims to exhibit the most captivating and innovative content. The two day festival will see people of various communities thronging the venue to enjoy films from countries including Germany, Italy, UK, USA, Russia, Bangladesh, Iran, Poland in English and the country's own languages. Indian regional language films like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, and in south Indian language including Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu and Kanada will be showcased.

The 19th Edition of SHORTS MEXICO will be held from September 1st through the 30th 2024 in Mexico City. The National Cinematheque of Mexico is the main venue of the festival, and it amounts other important venues as CINEMEX Theaters, one of the largest cinema chains in the world, world famous Vasconcelos Library, Centro Cultural Universitario de la UNAM, CDMX´s Faros and Cultural Centers, etc. The festival amounts over 35 venues in Mexico City and holds exhibitions in every one of the 32 States of the Mexican Republic, so the event truly occurs throughout Mexico. Since the pandemic, SHORTS MÉXICO is presented in a hybrid format, holding virtual and televised exhibitions as well, having over 1 million spectators per edition.
Throughout the year the festival features previews, exhibitions, retrospectives and master classes. The Shorts Mexico Tour includes cities, towns and villages of Mexico, as well as exhibitions in various countries around the world. All the selected films will be given a certificate of participation in México International Short Film Festival - Shorts México. The Esseoesse Cultural Association announces the competition "CortoDino Film Festival Dino De Laurentiis 2024 - XIV Edition", a competition that stems from desire to remember and celebrate, in his native land and in commemorative and propositive terms, the figure and work of Dino De Laurentis. The Metropolitan city of Naples, Vesuvian areas, “Giorgio De Chirico’s Secondary School of Art and Communication”, the others secondary schools of the area and the main cultural associations of the Vesuvian and Campanian areas will collaborate in the event.
So, the main aim of the initiative is to create an opportunity for meeting, confrontation and knowledge of young filmmakers who enter the cinematographic sector, in which the influence left by the illustrious “Torrese” has certainly been significant, promoting cinematographic culture through the inclusion of disadvantaged people and the research and promotion of works by talents from Campania, and also national and international.

Cortodino Film Festival XIV edition will take place in November 2024. Cities, places and days of the event will be subsequently communicated.
The Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival is organised by Les Films du Spectre, a non-profit making association dedicated to genre cinema, which includes fantasy, horror, science-fiction and thrillers.
In addition to the Festival’s international prizes, as a member of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation, it also awards the Silver Méliès for the best European fantastic film.

DESCRIPTION
Colombia becomes the stage for discussing current environmental issues. To this end, Planet On proposes to engage in a dialogue between filmmakers, science, industry, and the public through cinematographic works, a short film competition that seeks to be that necessary space where people can narrate, from their perspective, the different environmental challenges that humanity faces.
Planet On seeks to find the best stories about illegal wildlife trade and the protection of fauna in Latin America, as well as any other environmental issues that participants want to address.
The eighth edition of the International Environmental Film Festival, Planet On, will be the ideal place where we will gather to reflect on the impact that these problems have on our lives and, of course, to celebrate the best audiovisual works.
The Festival considers the creativity and free expression of artists as fundamental elements for understanding reality. For this reason, Planet On will have, as conditions for participating works in different categories, the relevance, quality, and relevance, both environmentally and cinematographically.
The call will be open for national and international short and feature films.

We are a film festival made by and for queer people! We seek films created by queer filmmakers, of any content, and provide a platform for exhibition of the very best.
Our annual festival will take place at the end of September at an independent theater in Detroit. We love to host you, the winning filmmakers, for Q&As with the public!
At our inaugural festival in 2017, we showed 23 films from 7 countries with two visiting filmmakers. Our "Filmmakers To Watch" program sold out. We also hosted an art exhibition from a local art collective and a roundtable discussion about being transgender in relationships. In 2018, we showed over 50 films over 2 days from all over the globe. We had visiting filmmakers and a visiting screenwriting workshop.
Our Mission: Trans Stellar Film Festival encourages diversity and queer agency in art by promoting the exhibition of films created by queer people. We seek films by queer filmmakers with a variety of content and form and provide a platform for their exhibition to the public and industry professionals.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.

Scanning the endless list of festivals not knowing where to gamble your money is frustrating. In most cases, you end up with nothing to show for your hard work and limited budget. At Dekho Film Festival we’ve kept our entry fee low and offer one of them along with an option to have your film or script reviewed. Dekho Film Festival is headquartered in Mumbai, India through our International judging panel is scattered around the globe. Our selection committee reviews the film by private screening the best films marked as the official selection. All the official Selection films screened into our venue in front of live audiences. Where our jury watches the film and selects the best films as the winner.

CARTON is an international animated film festival whose main objective is to bring together animators, directors, producers, cartoonists, cartoonists, and the entire community to see, enjoy and promote the world of animation as a means of communication and expression of ideas. artistic, technical and political.
The Festival consists of a competitive section of animated shorts. After a pre-selection carried out by the organizing committee, the material is evaluated by a prestigious jury that changes from year to year.
