December 1992. Few months earlier, in Bosnia and Herzegovina a cruenta war between citizens has started. In Verona, a bunch of friends who organize raves in abandoned spaces enlisted the help of their companions to cross the front lines to support the refugees with what they knew best, a New Year's Eve party 1993. Passing themselves off as members of an NGO, this group of 24 people descend beyond the front lines, overcame obstacles and remained unharmed by the many dangers that they - without being fully aware of it - exposed themselves to. Thirty years later, some former traveling companions, now bound by a lifelong friendship, return to the places of that journey. And while they discover the new face of the Balkan area, with its lingering scars, they ponder that undertaking: who were they? Who did they have become?
