Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta Call for Projects
This program selects Latin American documentary projects in advanced editing stages. Open to feature-length films between 40 and 120 minutes, with no prior public screening, the projects must be directed or produced by Latin American talents. The application period is from June 2 to July 28, 2025. The program consists of two phases: a virtual stage with personalized mentoring during the Santiago International Documentary Festival (FIDOCS) from November 19 to 26, 2025, and an in-person phase in Santiago, Chile, during the Conecta audiovisual market from December 9 to 12, 2025. Selected projects receive private screenings, industry feedback, and networking opportunities. There is no cost to apply; a participation fee of USD 60 applies if selected. Awards include support for editing, sound mixing, and invitations to other festivals. This international call aims to strengthen Latin American documentary filmmaking and connect creators with regional and global industry players.

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta
“Break On Time” is an international screenplay competition organized by ISII Group, based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. It is open to screenwriters of legal age with professional experience in the audiovisual industry. The contest accepts fiction, animation, documentary, and series projects—individual scripts must not exceed 59 minutes, while series can include up to 10 episodes of 60 minutes.
Entrants must submit three versions of their script (first draft, second draft, and final version) combined into a single PDF file. The submission window for the 2025 edition ran from May 19 to August 1. The awards ceremony is held in November in Madrid, where winners are announced.
The jury features acclaimed film and TV professionals such as Marta Etura, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Ernesto Alterio. Several prizes are awarded, including five special mentions. The competition aims to spotlight innovative screenplays with cinematic vision and strong production potential.

Break On Time
The Meet Them! program is an initiative by the Industry Department of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, aimed at bringing together audiovisual professionals from various regions. Its goal is to provide direct access to the festival, expand networking opportunities, and promote collaboration on film projects. Producers, directors, and other professionals with projects in development, pre-production, or production are selected, primarily feature films and documentaries with international co-production potential. The call is launched through local or national entities, which manage registration and participant selection. Selected participants join networking activities, presentations, and meetings during the festival. Applications typically require submitting a project technical sheet, dossier, CV, and motivation letter by the established deadline. It is a unique opportunity to connect with the global film industry and boost project visibility and funding.

SSIFF - Meet Them!
València Film Afers is the international co-production forum of La Mostra de València – Cinema del Mediterrani. The open call is active until July 31st, 2025 at 12:00 CET, and it targets feature-length fiction or creative non-fiction projects (TV docs or journalistic works are not accepted).
Eligible projects must be in advanced development or production, with a complete script, confirmed director and producer, and at least 15% of financing secured. Projects must also have a Mediterranean connection, whether thematic, geographic, or by team nationality.
Selected teams will present their work through public pitches and one-to-one meetings with international industry professionals. The forum will be held in Valencia on October 29–30, 2025, and travel and accommodation costs are covered by the organizers.
Participation is free, and all application materials must be submitted in English.

València Film Afers
CINEMA Campus is a training program for screenwriters and filmmakers aged 18 to 40 developing a short film script. Organized by the RECORD association with support from the Córdoba Provincial Council, it will take place from September 13 to 21, 2025, in Montilla, with accommodation and meals covered.
Six projects will be selected to receive intensive training in scriptwriting, production, financing, pitching, and distribution. Scripts, whether fiction or documentary, must not exceed 12 pages, use more than three locations, and be filmed fully or partly in Montilla. AI use is not allowed.
The Best Script will be produced by Kuántika Films with a budget of €8,000 and receive €1,750 for festival distribution. The winning author will also receive €1,500. Applications close on August 8, 2025.
