Biofilmography
Ryah King is a Vancouver-based animator and cultural advocate from Barbados. With a background in 2D design and experimental animation and a minor in Cultural Practice, her work lives at the intersection of visual storytelling and community. Her main source of inspiration is the vibrant atmosphere of her lived experiences growing up in the lesser Antilles. Her favourite part of practicing digital media is using colour to portray feelings and create worlds rooted in the places and people that shaped her. She believes in art that makes space for people, and brings that same care to every project she's part of.
