The text "jumbo shampoo or Joerg Bungee vanished on the rope" by Hubsi Kramar refers
to the classic dada text "second through the brain" of Melchior Vischer from 1920. It‘s
about the fall of a plasterer from a skyscraper - the man falls staring at the breast of a
woman. subject is swooping thoughts in the head, and resolution of syntax and contexts.
Besides many political allusions e.g. to the austrian politician Joerg Haider, absurd
attempts and insider jokes, the text in its basic structure tries to overcome the slowness of
the German language. Hubsi Kramar rewrites dada in a fresh way.
The film deals with the ambiguity of velocity - its passion and eroticism and with danger.
Speed appears today to be a destructive principle in politics preventing sustainable
developments. Other topics include criticism of the political system and the petit
bourgeoisie, and the critique of consumerism as well as the displacement of nazism.
The art work is done in montage and layering techniques with historical film. In digital
image editing and layering the film develops an adequate cinematic language according to
the dadaist spirit. The text flow goes from politics to surreal realities, to the truth of the
surreal and ends up in a subversive laughter ex nihilo.
