The Merger is an experimental psyche-drama short film written, produced, and performed by Akinwunmi Tesleem Jabar (T Sleek). Inspired by Carl Jung’s theory of individuation, the film presents a poetic and visual conversation between the True Self (personified as “The Light”) and five archetypal aspects of the psyche: the Shadow Child, the Tricky Jester, the Healer-Magician, the Rebel Sage, and the Perceived Self.

Each archetype speaks from a place of lived experience, sharing fragments of personal truth that reflect pain, memory, belief, spirituality, and resilience. The Merger unfolds as a symbolic journey inward—into the chaos of the self, toward wholeness through minimalist staging and introspective dialogue.

This is not just a film, but a psychological unveiling. A ritual of becoming.
