My real name is DJONA MANIMONA, but I go by the name Mani.D.Mona.

I was born on September 4th, 1988 in Brazzaville. I am the second child of a family of four children.

As a child, if there was one thing I appreciated above all, it was inventing and telling stories. In middle school, my father went on vacation to France and upon his return, he brought a camera home. Being the oldest of the boys, he entrusted me with the task of filming and editing all the family events. I then discovered another way of telling stories.
It was in my sophomore year that I officially decided to become a director.

In 2010, I obtained my baccalaureate and my parents decided to send me to France. As someone who is quite sensitive, I began to develop a particular attachment to social issues and the outside world at a very young age. I analyze social facts and give them so much importance that ideas for scenarios come to me in a jumble.

Today, I have directed a few short films, one of which was a contest winner. Aware that the road is long, I will continue to make short films, present them at festivals, until the day when I can finally make my first feature film.
