On the day of his 21st birthday Marcos feels the weight of the world falling on his shoulders. All his friends are at his house drunk, celebrating something that is irrelevant to him. While Marcos moves away from the epicentre of the party, his friend Sara, a little impaired by the drinks, proposes to him; however, Marcos, unable even to be with himself enough to be with another person, uses his scarce social skills to get out of the way, which leads to a fight with Sara, whom he has known for three years.

After the birthday party, closed by Sara's departure, Marcos receives a message from another of his open fronts: his family, which informs him that his little sister is having a really bad time at school. Despite all this, Marcos moves on with his life and goes to bed, but not without first saying goodbye to Rober, his flatmate and junkie.

It's dawn and Marcos starts his first day at the age of twenty-one with his classic existentialist morning debate with Rober, who has spent the whole night playing with the PlayStation. After talking about the pressure and uncertainty they both feel about the future, Marcos goes to class and Rober goes to bed.

At university, Marcos meets Lucía, his positive antithesis. This girl from the Canary Islands starts her days in a new city in the same way as Marcos did some time ago. While they eat together, it becomes clear that they both belong to the same reality but three years apart; while Marcos is jaded by the monotony of the present, Lucía is excited by the new world that is opening up before her eyes.

After lunch, Marcos separates from Lucía and meets up with his friends before going to class. Among them is Sara, still distant and hurt by last night's conversation. Marcos tries to come clean as best as he can to at least smooth things over with a resigned Sara, who does her best to understand the situation.

Arriving home after an intense day, Marcos finds Rober lying in the bathroom and almost unconscious due to an overdose. Already in the hospital and recovering from the shock, Marcos is waiting for news about his flatmate when he receives a call from his mother with news about his sister.

With Robert out of the hospital, Marcos hangs up the call and hugs his friend. They've had a really bad time, but at least they've been through it together. Lost on their way home, Robert wonders that if this is supposedly their best years, what awaits them from now on. Faced with this, Marcos, physically and emotionally tired, comes to the conclusion that the best thing to do is to keep quiet and move on.

Biofilmography
