A chicken tells the story of a trip he did shortly after birth. A trip that he started completely unaware of the circumstances that surrounded him. A trip with a grim destination that he did not choose and that almost cost him his life.
The chicken was born in León, in the north of Spain, and was abandoned during three days at Barajas Airport (Madrid) with thousands of other chicks that were traveling with him to Equatorial Guinea in order to be raised and later consumed as food.
The chick was lucky enough to survive until he was rescued.
Now, from his new home, he looks back and remembers that during the worse days of the endless trip, his obsession with understanding the situation caused him a series of dreams.
In these dreams, the chick listened to all sorts of experts that tried to answer the questions that tormented him. Why am I in this box? Why am I stock?
Each dream explores a different aspect about the way people perceive animals.
Issues such as the idea of justice, social conventions or the extension of our empathy are raised in order to address the big censored question: ¿why don't we consider animals as equals? And what is even more important: should we do it?
