Thais de Almeida Prado is a filmmaker, multidisciplinary artist and performer; Thais' work permeates the interdisciplinary boundaries between cinema, performance, dance, theatre, visual arts, music and literature, often in collaboration with other artists. In general, following two strands; one quite connected with the environmental issue and the other with the Gender/LGBTQI+ issue and its mutations.
In 2021 two of Thais' films had a premiere: "Nowhere" (71 min) and "Aller / Retour" (3min30). In quarantine times, Thais' also participated in several Online projects with her audiovisual works. In 2019, she made the project "The Purge. From Violence. From Bodies that Collide. From Asphyxiation. From the fear of a metropolis", at the artistic residency at Centro da Terra, SP (BR). During the same year, was awarded with the Odyssée fellowship developing a project in the artistic residence Saline Royale d'Arc-et-Senans, France.
With the artist Lucas Bambozzi, she made the video installation "Icamiaba-Beatnik", also made VR video-dance, “Coordinates'', and was the curator of the audiovisual project “Luz de 5ª”, in Sao Paulo. Between 2015 and 2017 Thais spent a season in Germany where she collaborated with several artists such as November Wong, Rachel Alliston, Lee Cofa and Mareike Spendel. Also in Germany (Cologne) she developed the choreographic-installation "Co2 and other Toxins", inspired by the dam disaster in Mariana (MG, Brazil) in 2015.

Danny D. Weirdo is a performance art-rock (or rock n roll anti-hero) band formed in 2018 as a solo project based on academic research “Performativity in the process of creating hybrid arts”. Now with 4 members (or personas) in costumes and masks, the group generates a scenic experience that accompanies their experimental and no-rules musicality in order to bring "outsider music" to the most popular audience, as a door to music "strange".

Contando agora com 4 integrantes (ou personas) em figurinos e máscaras, o grupo gera uma experiência cênica que acompanha sua musicalidade experimental e sem regras com o objetivo de trazer a "outsider music" para o público mais popular, como uma porta para a música “estranha”.

Thaís de Almeida Prado é uma cineasta, artista multidisciplinar e atriz. Seu trabalho permeia as fronteiras entre a dança, o cinema, o teatro, as artes visuais, a música e a literatura, trabalhando na maioria das vezes em colaboração com outros artistas. É mestra em Meios e Processos do Audiovisual ECA/USP, com enfoque na pesquisa da criação de Roteiros colaborativos no cinema.
