Biofilmography
Formado em Biologia e Gestão Ambiental, Roberto Veiga atua a mais de 10 anos com audiovisual nas funções de assistente de direção, produtor, diretor e roteirista. Em 2019, finalizou seu primeiro curta-metragem intitulado “Volta Seca”, contemplado no edital “Prêmio Estímulo ao Curta-metragem” do PROAC (Programa de Ação Cultural do Estado de São Paulo) e teve sua première mundial na mostra competitiva do 25º Encounters Film Festival (Bristol, ENG), passando por outros festivais internacionais e nacionais como Curta Cinema (RJ), Festival Mix Brasil (SP), FestCine (PE), 37º Chicago Latino Film Festival (EUA), 32º FICVIÑA (CHI), entre outros. Em 2020, Roberto realizou um curta-poesia intitulado FILHO, contemplado no edital Arte como Respiro do Itaú Cultural e selecionado para alguns festivais. Atualmente, Roberto se dedica na distribuição do curta-metragem "Onizuka" que aborda questões sobre memórias, identidade e pertencimento; na pré-produção de um curta-metragem que retrata conflitos sociais na cidade de Recife (BRA), e na escrita de dois roteiros de longa-metragem. Roberto Veiga também é membro da ABD/APECI em Pernambuco/BRASIL.

With a degree in Biology and Environmental Management, Roberto Veiga has been working in audiovisual production for over 10 years as an assistant director, producer, director, and screenwriter. In 2019, he completed his first short film entitled “Volta Seca” (Parched Return), which was selected for the PROAC (Cultural Action Program of the State of São Paulo) “Short Film Incentive Award” and had its world premiere in the competitive section of the 25th Encounters Film Festival (Bristol, ENG), as well as other international and national festivals such as Curta Cinema (RJ), Festival Mix Brasil (SP), FestCine (PE), 37th Chicago Latino Film Festival (USA), 32nd FICVIÑA (CHI), among others. In 2020, Roberto made a short poetry film entitled FILHO, which was included in Itaú Cultural's Arte como Respiro (Art as Breath) program and selected for several festivals. Currently, Roberto is working on the distribution of the short film “Onizuka,” which addresses issues of memory, identity, and belonging; the pre-production of a short film that portrays social conflicts in the city of Recife (BRA); and the writing of two feature film scripts. Roberto Veiga is also a member of ABD/APECI in Pernambuco, BRAZIL.
