Juan Pablo (20) is leaving rehearsal and sees a poster for an important jazz maestro's orchestra in the city. He seems quite confident. His friend Mateo (19) arrives and tells him that he knows who is opening up spots in his orchestra. Mateo confidently tells him that it is Bryan Ruiz. When he gets home, Juan Pablo argues with his parents because they don't want to lend him their car, which makes him arrive late the next day. When his friend Mateo arrives, he has already passed by. However, despite the fact that they had already finished the cast, he enters as if nothing had happened, imposing himself on the maestro who hears him. The maestro implores him to leave, however, Juan Pablo ignores him and continues playing, which makes the maestro leave him playing alone. Jp After this, he impulsively kidnaps the teacher and forces him to listen to his audition. Then, he begins to torture him with music. When he lets the teacher speak, the teacher begins to verbally attack him, causing Jp to fly into a rage and beat him to death. After this, he disposes of the body, taking it to the outskirts of Bogotá to burn it and play a military funeral song as a sign of empathy.
