The CREATION 2025 Call by the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) aims to support creators in research and creation processes leading to the future production of works in the fields of performing arts, music, literature, comics and illustration, visual arts, and audiovisual in the Balearic Islands.

It is open to individuals over 18 years old who carry out their professional activity in these sectors and are natives of or professionally active in the Balearic Islands.

The total budget for the call is €490,000, distributed over two fiscal years: €49,000 in 2025 and €441,000 in 2026.

The application period was from March 10 to April 15, 2025.

Curta Roteiros – 1st Short Film Screenplay Contest is a Brazilian call focused on recognizing unpublished short film screenplays created for independent cinema. It accepts international submissions and is open to both professional and amateur writers presenting original works.

The 2026 edition will take place from November 14, 2025 to February 15, 2026, with the submission deadline on January 6, 2026. The call is focused on a screenplay competition and does not correspond to a pitch, laboratory, market, or Work in Progress program.

It accepts fiction and non-fiction short film screenplays, written in Portuguese, with a maximum length of 30 pages and following the Master Scenes format. Eligible genres include fiction, documentary, animation, fantasy, horror, experimental and other short film narrative formats.

Polish Days 2026 is a film industry platform taking place from July 26–28, 2026, in Wrocław, Poland, as part of the New Horizons International Film Festival. The event is dedicated to the international promotion of Polish cinema and brings together producers, distributors, sales agents, funding representatives, and audiovisual professionals from around the world.

The call is aimed at Polish feature films at different stages of development. Eligible submissions include projects in development for pitching sessions, films in production or post-production for the Work in Progress section, and completed films for industry screenings. No specific genre restrictions are stated.

Application deadlines are April 17, 2026 for projects in development and May 25, 2026 for completed films and Work in Progress entries. The initiative is designed to foster international co-production opportunities, distribution strategies, and festival exposure for Polish film projects.

D’A Film Lab Barcelona is an industry laboratory designed to support emerging talent in feature films by facilitating their development, completion, and international exposure, with a focus on Spanish works. The call for entries for the edition taking place from March 22 to 25, 2026, is open until December 5, 2025. The programme includes two main strands: Final Cut, which selects Spanish and Catalan feature films in post-production and awards a €20,000 prize to the winning project, and Producció Emergent, which focuses on feature film projects in development with specialised professional guidance. The lab provides intensive support through expert mentoring, workshops, and international networking opportunities for emerging directors and producers. The event is held in Spain (Barcelona) as part of the D’A – Festival de Cinema de Barcelona. While primarily geared towards Spanish and Catalan projects, it includes training and industry activities that promote international collaboration and exposure. The GIFF Incubator 2026 is a program of the Guanajuato International Film Festival focused on supporting feature film projects in development, aimed at both Mexican and international filmmakers. The application period runs from May 19 to June 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM (Mexico City time). Selected projects will take part in in-person advisory sessions during the 29th edition of the festival, held from July 24 to August 2, 2026 in Guanajuato, Mexico. The program provides one-on-one mentorship in key areas such as script development, pitching, financing, production, legal issues, distribution, and marketing. It accepts fiction, documentary, and animation projects at any stage of development, strictly in feature film format, including development, production, and work-in-progress stages. Selection is made by a festival-appointed committee, and participation requires full in-person availability during the event dates.
