Tres Puertos es un laboratorio de desarrollo de largometrajes organizado por AUSTRALAB, dirigido a cineastas de toda Iberoamérica. La edición 2026 se realizará del 19 al 23 de noviembre de 2026 en la zona lacustre andina de la Región de La Araucanía, Chile. El laboratorio funciona como una residencia creativa enfocada en fortalecer los aspectos narrativos, estéticos, temáticos y conceptuales de proyectos en etapa de desarrollo mediante un acompañamiento personalizado.

La convocatoria está abierta a proyectos de largometraje de ficción, documental o híbrido, incluyendo primeros, segundos y terceros largometrajes, así como casos específicos de cineastas con mayor trayectoria que cambian entre ficción y no ficción. Pueden postular directoras y directores de toda Iberoamérica, además de personas residentes en la región bajo las condiciones establecidas por la convocatoria.

Las postulaciones estarán abiertas del 29 de julio al 30 de agosto de 2026, y los proyectos seleccionados se anunciarán el 2 de octubre de 2026.

The 2025 Conexões Gramado Film Market call is open to audiovisual professionals and companies interested in participating in business rounds, panels, workshops, and showcases during the Gramado Film Festival. Projects accepted include feature films, short films, series, documentaries, animation, extended reality (VR/AR), and narrative video games, whether in development or completed. Applicants must register in advance, submitting a dossier with synopsis, project status, financing needs, and audiovisual materials like teasers or trailers if available. Participation in panels and workshops is free with prior registration and does not require a project submission. The university short film showcase call is open until early July, while business round registrations usually close by late July. The event promotes coproduction, distribution, and commercialization in Brazil and internationally, integrating new technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. La Burbuja Lab announces its third edition of the Film Residency for Women from Central America and the Caribbean in 2026. This residency is aimed at female filmmakers developing their first or second feature film, whether fiction, documentary, or animation. Over eight days, selected participants will engage in an intensive program of creation, guidance, and collective reflection, designed to strengthen their cinematic projects.

Participants will receive specialized mentorship in directing, screenwriting, production, portfolio design, and pitch preparation. The program also includes masterclasses and opportunities to connect with networks of women in film, fostering professional and creative exchange. The residency will take place at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, from June 22 to 29, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the artistic and professional development of emerging filmmakers in the region, providing concrete tools to advance their projects toward production and exhibition stages.

İzmir Film Lab 2026 takes place in İzmir, Turkey. The call is aimed at applicants from Turkey, who may participate from any city in the country. Applications for the 2026 edition are open from August 1 to September 15, 2026. The program will take place from November 2 to 8, 2026.

The call accepts fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, and hybrid projects. It is focused on project development and operates as a laboratory with mentoring, workshops, development processes, and industry-related project presentations. It accepts short film projects in development whose principal photography has not yet begun.

The Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM) 2026 opens the Rough Shorts call, a post-production editing lab for short films. Applications are open until February 23, 2026, with selected projects announced between April 20 and 22. The lab activities will take place from April to June, culminating in the projects’ participation in the BAM from July 6 to 10, 2026.

The call is open to Colombian individuals or legal entities, including directors and producers, and does not accept international submissions. It accepts short films in fiction, documentary, animation, hybrid, or experimental formats, with a duration between 7 and 25 minutes and a completed first narrative cut.

Rough Shorts is part of BAM’s Market Strengthening and Intelligence Path, providing selected projects with specialized guidance in editing, development, and screening preparation. The initiative aims to enhance the final quality of the short films and support their trajectory in international festivals and markets.
