What is the National School Film Festival?

The National School Film Festival is the first national cultural and educational event around film creation in schools. The objective is to develop image education in establishments and the creativity of students around a unifying, motivating and quality event.

REGULATIONS

Who can participate?

The festival is open to schools, colleges and high schools from all academies in France and outside France.

Teachers can register an entire class or a group of students.

The festival is also open to MJCs, cultural centers and any other structure working with students of school age.

This festival is an opportunity for teachers:

- To enlist students in a project related to image education.

- To master the techniques of designing and producing an audiovisual work.

- To integrate digital learning tools into teaching.

- To create a dynamic and motivating class or workshop project.

“Sport” category
The theme of the 2024 edition is “Sport”: through the production of a film (fiction, animation,
documentary, etc.), students will have to deal with the theme of sport.

“Favorite” category
Without constraints of time or theme, this selection offers young filmmakers the opportunity to
present their creations from the last three years.

The Realization

• Projects can be done as a whole class or in a group.

• There is no limit on the number of projects accepted per establishment.

• The maximum duration of the film is 5 to 7 minutes, credits included for the sports category

• No constraints, theme or time for the favorite category.

• All forms are accepted: fiction, documentary, animated film, etc.

• The music used and the images integrated into the production must be cited in the credits.

• Teachers are responsible for the films presented. They must send to
at the festival the image rights authorizations of the participants.

Reception of the films

The film file, with an image resolution of at least 1080p, must be transmitted via a link.

Authorizations for the use of images, filming, and broadcasting for students appearing in
the screen must also be attached when submitting the projects.
